As someone who recently converted to Dutch Bros from another coffee brand, I really wanted this to be my new go-to for my morning routine. The drinks are fun, the brand is upbeat, and I love the energy — but the mobile order-ahead experience has been a consistent letdown.
I typically place my order between 7:30–8:00 AM and use the app, which says my drink will be ready in 10–15 minutes. That’s never the case. I’ve waited over 40 minutes multiple times, and on two separate occasions in the last 30 days, I’ve actually had to leave without my order because it still wasn’t ready over an hour later — and I couldn’t risk being late to work.
To make it worse: One time I went back later to see if it could be remade and was met with a very dismissive attitude from the young staff. Today, no one was present when I arrived, their system was down, and they had no record of my order. I had placed it 20 minutes in advance. Again, I was charged. Again, I left empty-handed.
Dutch Bros has a loyal vibe and passionate following, but this kind of inconsistency makes it hard to stay loyal as a working professional trying to keep a schedule. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect some ownership when things go wrong — or at the very least, not being charged for drinks I never received.
There’s so much potential here. Please invest in improving the mobile ordering experience and training your staff on better customer service for order mishaps. I’d love to keep you as part of my mornings — but right now, you’re making me late and leaving me...
Read moreI had actually never heard of this coffee place until recently. I decided on a whim to go earlier today on a Friday afternoon. The drive-thru had at least 8 or 9 cars in it when I got there, so I knew this place was pretty popular. They don't have a speaker where you ordering the drive-thru from what I could tell, and a girl came up and took my order with a tablet. I immediately told her I had never been there but I wanted something with caramel and coffee. She immediately told me I should get the caramelizer and knew the ingredients so well. She asked me if I was okay with chocolate milk as it contained it. Said yep and ordered a medium. Definitely should have ordered a large because it was pretty fantastic.
The girl who took my order was super friendly. Overly friendly. Love that! And the girl who gave me my order at the window was the same. Great service all around. And my medium drink was less than $6, I think overall it's cheaper than Starbucks. Like I said, the drink I got had a really great flavor. Very caramel and chocolate forward. Next time I go, I might ask for light ice, as there was quite a bit of ice in the cup. No complaints over all here though. Really fast service as well, and the line as long as it was moved super quickly.
I will definitely have to go here again soon, but from where I live it was around a 20 minute drive so I don't see myself going here everyday. But when I'm in need of a coffee, I'm definitely going to hit this...
Read moreThis is the DB location closest to where I live so I typically drive here every Sat or Sunday without fail. Now have my recent visits been pleasant? I wish. The past 4 visits here it’s been the same, yes the wait times are usually long, 30 minutes at least. Each of the past few visits have been 1/5 for me. I always order the same drink and I always order it extra sweet. Not only have I not been getting the right order, but once they get your order the drink is being prepared, the ice has already melted by the time you get your drink at the window, I always taste it right away and it’s not what I ordered. Keep in mind I have to wait 30 minutes before I get my drink and by that time there’s already another long line and to avoid any further disruption on the drinks made I don’t say anything. Again, 4 times now this has gone on, to say im shocked that more people haven’t said anything on a review is a little baffling, but then again 4 bad experiences for me and only now I feel the need to say how bad it actually is. My drinks could be comped and that wouldnt be enough, I’m not getting what I ordered, long wait times, this is definitely the location to avoid. I have 100s of DB orders with me never having to complain about the Richardson location once ( they also get busy but never mess the drink up) I hope whoever is reading this actually does something to make things better because for a daily DB customer this is...
