Pricing Onsite parking is $5. $10 entrance fee. It's a BYOB . There set-ups are $12 for a bowl of ice an 3 sm cans of juice. The waitresses come by often, often trying to get u to buy more. They also serve daiquiris and margaritas incase u dont bring liquor. You may bring hard liquor only. Waitresses were very attentive with great customer service. OVERALL: Everyone we met from the parking attendant to the door lady taking the money to Security, waitresses. Everyone was so hospitable. This is a nice size hole in the wall. We went on Friday. They had a live band. The man seem to be 60 and up sitting on stools but when I tell you they can play those instruments and sing. They were great, u won't be disappointed. This spot is for the older and mature crowd. If you dont like old school, blues, r&b this isn't the place for you. It's located down the street from Fair Park state fair grounds. It's an old building, bathrooms are ok. I was informed by regular that the owner and his son sung at one point, they both were great. You won't be disappointed. Was in the Dallas area and wanted something to do, this place was one of several recommended by friends. Before going we attended a comedy show at another location about 30 mins away...And ALMOST didn't go to RL's! Anyhoo...Glad we did!!! RL's is located near where the fair is held and has free parking!!! Please tip the gentleman in the parking lot. This is not a high brow location or environment, but it is comfortable and felt safe. The BAND..THE BAND..THE BAND...AMAZING. The men on horns and the bass guitarist are great musicians/singers. All the musicians were amazing. They also feature a gentleman who tries to do "Teddy", he has the sound, but he falls waaaay short on lyrics and execution, still entertaining (I'm somewhat a lyrics snob...No apologies...If you are going to do it, do it right.). The vibe was great, there were folks of several age and ethnic groups and the dance floor was generally full. $10 cover, beer, wine coolers &and I believe frozen margaritas...everything is cash only. You have not lived yet until you've experienced RL's. Omg...there is nothing like it. The Husband and I were in town on business. We live in Houston. I ran into a lady in a store and told her we were looking for a good spot to chill, dance and let loose, with an older crowd and good music! She told me to try RL's and I am SO GLAD we did! Its an older, unassuming building and it goes down in the inside! There had to be about 15 different parties going on. The band was AWESOME! Everyone is friendly and just down home good local folks, enjoying themselves. Its BYOB. We are planning another weekend trip soon...this time for leisure and with the main objective being another good time at RL's! GO-GO-GO! I promise you will not be disappointed!
