I order the Akaushi 14 ounce ribeye medium rare. There is no way it was 14 ounce. It was 12 ounce at best. I highly doubt it was Akaushi. I add m a Chef and I serve Akaushi regularly and this didn’t not have the flavor or mouth feel you would expect. Not to mention it was not medium rare but raw and very underseasoned. I sent it back and they sent me out a new steak and It was cooked exactly the same. The steaks come out so fast I have to believe that they are sandbagging them. (That means that they par cook them ahead of time.) If I’m gonna spend $50 on a steak, at an à la cart restaurant they best be able to cook it perfect. That being said, I sent the steak back and ordered something else. When I did the restaurant manager scowled at me and made me show him my steak. I had cut into it 10 minutes earlier and it was still super rare. My wife ordered the bistro tenderloin thinking she was getting a filet mignon. BE AWARE: Their bistro tenderloin is a shoulder tender from the cow, not a filet mignon tenderloin. Shoulder tender is much more tough and a MUCH cheaper cut of meat. Her meat was undercooked as well and she had to send it back. They did not put new fries on the plate when sent back. I don’t understand how a restaurant with “steak” in the name cannot get it right. Also only having 3 steaks on the menu, the restaurant is literally called steakyard. Another wannabe Dallas joke restaurant. I will say it’s a beautiful restaurant, but the food definitely does not match the atmosphere. Also, I had ordered asparagus as an up charge to go with my steak. I had it on the first two plates that were sent to me, but on the new order of a different menu item they never sent me the asparagus again and then they charged me for it , I got the bill and I never ate it. This is what I call smoke and mirrors restaurant. They have the illusion of being high-end, but they can’t execute and they false advertise on their menu. I saw that they have a lobster risotto with prawns. Those are not prawns they are 16/20 shrimp at best. And I’m betting that ribeye is choice not Akaushi. Another restaurant trying to make money by falling people with false advertisement on the menu, knowing that no one is going to ask for proof, and even if they did I am sure the Restaurant would refuse. I honestly do not recommend this restaurant if you were wanting a really high-end food experience. As far as a nice beautiful restaurant with fun drinks I will say they have that going for them. The food does not match the atmosphere.
The other weird thing about this restaurant is that some of the tables have white tablecloth, and some of them have bare wood. That is very weird and confusing. Were they not able to get all their laundry done. When I asked the Server about it, she said that was a manager question. I saw the manager with his head down in his phone most of the night. He would walk around the restaurant, but he wouldn’t stop and talk to any tables. He looks like a very unhappy person.
Do you know who makes a really good consistent steak, is SALTGRASS, and they have an NY strip on the menu as well as Filet Mignon. Seasoned well, always cooked perfect and a good tasting steak. for a better price, you will get a better...
Read moreMy husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Steakyard Dallas, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambience struck us as both inviting and sophisticated, setting the stage for a remarkable evening. The service was nothing short of incredible, with attentive staff that made us feel genuinely valued.
The highlight of our visit, however, was undoubtedly the steak. It’s bold to say, but we had some of the best steaks we’ve ever enjoyed in Texas at Steakyard Dallas. Though the menu might not be the most extensive, what they offer is executed to perfection. Each dish we tried was exquisite, demonstrating a focus on quality over quantity that truly paid off.
We were particularly charmed by the open kitchen concept. Watching the chefs skillfully prepare our meals added a unique and engaging element to our dining experience, making it all the more special.
Celebrating our anniversary here was made even more memorable with a thoughtful gesture from the restaurant - two complimentary glasses of Prosecco. This was a really nice touch that added to the celebratory vibe of our evening.
Considering the quality of food, the exceptional service, and the overall dining experience, the value is unbeatable. For what you pay, the quality and experience far exceed expectations.
In summary, Steakyard Dallas offers a dining experience that’s hard to beat. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply in search of an outstanding meal, this restaurant is a must-visit. We’re already looking forward to...
Read moreWe came here for the Sunday dinner and everything was so good! Got a reservation for 5 o’clock and we were seated promptly. Anytime in order things and food were brought out pretty quickly. Rodrigo our server made our experience so amazing. He was able to recommend a few options and also substitute a few things our drinks.
We ordered a bunch of drinks and my favorites were the frozen piña colada and a regular lemon drop. I would not recommend the drink called the last word as it wasn’t good at all. It’s made with gin and chartreuse so beware lol.
The Kobe meatballs and the oysters were the star of the show. I would pass on the Caesar salad next time.
We all ordered the ribeye steak and frites and that was a great option. They were able to cook it at different temperatures that we requested. Although our fries were cold, when it reached our table, we did request for batch. They provide it with no questions asked. Once we got the new batch it was perfect. Saw that it served with was top-tier. Perfectly seasoned. The corn Brulé and the mac & cheese were solid sides but lack a bit of salt.
From the atmosphere, the service and the food I cannot wait to come back. This is a perfect spot if you’re looking for a chill dinner a solo date a happy hour spot or even celebrating occasion. definitely make a reservation as it got crowded during the late dinner hours on a Sunday night. There’s parking around the vicinity and it’s the perfect location off of 75 and on the northern...
