There was about a 40 minute wait when we arrived.... no problem. The waitress comes and barely acted like she even wanted to serve us. We order or drinks and food so we aren't having to wait too long. My husband's food comes out first and it's the fried shrimp basket and the shrimp is overcooked but cold and so are the fries. He's diabetic so he needed to go ahead and eat. He finishes his food and I've still yet to receive mine, but the people that came after us got theirs (1/2 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of sausage- the number 2). I get up and politely speak with a male manager to advise all the issues-mind you at this point we've only seen our actual waitress once and the 2nd time I had to run her down for her to get my husband another drink. Finally my food comes and it's very light weight wise and is not hot at all ( order was wrong and food was not fresh). I go back to the same male manager who basically brushes me off to the female manager because he was busy-okay np. The female manager fixes the order and send my food out nice and fresh and then also sends out another shrimp basket but with only 3 shrimp and not 6( I was going to pay for both). Anywho this shrimp basket was nothing like the first and was fresh and hot. I then see the male manager serving 2 HISPANIC girls behind us and he's pouring their seafood bag onto their plate and apologizing and empathizing with them regarding their wait and any other inconveniences- totally different service than we received. A few moments later out waitress we haven't been able to see comes over and asks (while I'm in the middle of eating the food I've been waiting for, was wrong and had to be corrected) what I told the manager đ . I get up in the middle of eating and go ask the female manager to get her staff and she apologized. Then some younger male staff member comes and says my manager says she can give you two free drinks. I laughed and said we don't need help with our bill but tell your manager learn more about customer service as well as hiring staff. Just about the entire staff is HISPANIC and seems to treat Hispanics the best compared to...

But donât let the low-key exterior fool you. Once you step inside, youâre in for some bold, flavorful seafood that wonât empty your wallet. The drinks took me straight back to my early 20sâin the best way. Fruity, fun, and exactly what you need to sip on while digging into a boil. Now, letâs talk about the star of the show: the seafood boil. PACKED. Full. Of. Flavor. With four seasoning options and trendy add-ons (like ramen noodles), the customization possibilities are chefâs kiss. Hereâs What I Ate Seafood Boil: Âź pound of crab with scallops and the addition of ramen noodles (because why not level it up?). Pros ⢠The seafood was fresh, and the service was quick. ⢠Itâs got a low-key, hole-in-the-wall vibe where you can just pull up and eat goodâno fuss, no drama. ⢠Plenty of other seafood entrees if youâre not trying to get your hands dirty with a boil. Cons ⢠The spot could use a little extra love in the cleanliness department. It wasnât spotless, but my table was clean enough for me to enjoy myself. ⢠My boil had too much seasoning, to the point where the sauce was overwhelming. But my friendâs bag? On point. So, Iâm guessing this was a fluke. Final Thoughts If youâre craving seafood thatâs fresh, flavorful, and wonât have you counting pennies, Sunset Crab Shack is where itâs at. Sure, itâs a little rough around the edges, but thatâs part of the charm. Just make sure to catch them on a good day with the seasoning. Rating: 7.8/10. Clean it up and fix that seasoning balance, and this joint could...
Read moreOk. So we had late lunch of the sunset special, crab, fries and drinks for 5. The food was good but not the way I remembered it. I remember it being really really good, but now well it wasn't the case. But my daughter's and husband were satisfied. Any way service was not the best my husband got his drink refilled but for whatever reason the sever never refilled my drink or my oldest daughter's. Whenever we needed something I had my daughter raise her hand, but my husband was like don't do that go get her. So my smaller daughter went to get her. I hate to say it but she only came to our table to serve the food and the food ordered there after. Any other time was when we called her. But all is well until we got our check it was a considerable amount I was like ok let me pay this. Then I saw a 18% fee it did not say for what, I was like did she tip her self. Usually auto tip is for a party of 6 or more. I was like we only 5 people. Server said it was a mistake someone else printed the pay receipt she was going to go correct it. Any way I was like ok. I will tip her what I want then I asked her to fix it, when she came back I clearly her the pen slam on the table. I told my husband did she just slam the receipt and pen on the table. He was like yeah I heard that, my older daughter was like yeah. So to finalize I don't mind paying a server for a good service of $30 or $50 or 18% but the server need to at least refill my drink one or be nicer when they place the check or pay bill down on the table. To end this I think the servers need to take care of their tables so their clients can show their...
