I came to the mall on a Friday afternoon and decided to try T-Swirl Crepe for a sweet treat. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed.
I ordered the Mini Chocolate Crepe Brûlée and added strawberries as my choice of fruit. I also ordered a small Taro Tea to go with it.
In terms of ordering, the service was fast, but it was the speed at which my crepe was made that was disappointing.
By the time the person preparing my food had filled my crepe with chocolate, cut up the strawberries, and then added the toasted crème brûlée topping, my crepe was already cold. It didn’t help that the chocolate had a thick, almost muddy consistency, and was also cold itself. The Taro Tea lacked its trademark purple coloring and felt like it could have used more taro powder to add to the flavor.
Overall, while I’m happy to see something new in the food court in terms of a sweet treat, T-Swirl Crepe didn’t hit the spot. For $15, I’ll save my money and try a different...
