We.always come to this place because it is near our home. However, every time we go we have to wait at least 45 minutes and one time the server was very rude. The next time we went we had to wait and we have to leave because after 40 minutes nobody acknowledge us even though we were standing inside by the door looking to everyone waiting for them to tell us to wait, or say something. Today we went again and we waited by the door again a lady came and said how many we are. We responded and they let us stand for about 30 minutes then we walked to a table that we see was been cleaned and when we sat they told us that we can only order pizza or salad and it was 8pm. We went for a bottle of wine and dinner not for pizza.they made us wait all this time and never told us that they were only serving pizza or salad but until we sat down. Never going to this place again bad service bad experience even though we tried several times thinking it was just a bad day for them but apparently they are like this everyday. Not...
Read moreGiving the prices for pizza these days, I didn't want to spend too much. I stumbled on a place called Conca D'Oro in the Beachway plaza along Dania Beach Blvd.
The restaurant was pretty compact as it was packed with customers, offering a variety of foods such as: Appetizers/soups/salads Hot & cold subs/pizza & calzones/pasta Chicken/veal/seafood entrees Cold beverages & wine Lunch specials & desserts
After overlooking the menu I ordered a small pizza, half mushrooms and pepperoni (toppings was an additional charge). Within 15 minutes I received my order. The pizza looked decent. I didn't mind that canned mushrooms was used instead of fresh mushrooms...I do eat both. The crust was soft and thin (I prefer thick crust...fills me up more) with tomato sauce, cheese, and my choice of toppings. I ate my fill of three slices then put the rest up for the next day. I'm undecided if I would visit this place again. Their menu doesn't intrigue me enough to want...
Read moreA love/hate experience. They pizza was great! The pasta y fagioli was great! The tiramisu was great! The bread they gave on the side was phenomenal! The chicken caesar was disappointing (tiny junky croutons and they forgot the parmesan). But the real issue was I wanted Neapolitan pizza (Like they show in their picture. Like they say they have.) They gave me NY style pizza--everything from the crust to the type of mozzarella used was NY style. So, it was GREAT, maybe even the BEST NY style pizza you can get in Broward (yes, better than Mauro's--at least the last time I got Mauro's). But it was NOT Neapolitan pizza. But when I complained they old me it was Neapolitan pizza and that is how THEY make Neapolitan pizza. ???? Neapolitan pizza is, by definition, made a certain way! It is not open for interpretation when you say you make a dish that has a defined style. So, love/hate. I'll be back now, knowing what to expect. I won't order the...
