Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Dania Beach

On Saturday night 06/12/21 at 9:25pm, I went to Popeyes located at 507 S Federal Hwy, Dania Beach FL, 33004. I waited in the drive-thru line 30 minutes to make my order, when I got to the window to pay I found out they got my order wrong or didn't even ring it up at all. The guy asked me if I had a mobile order, I said no. He asked me what my name is, I told him, I never gave you my name, no one took my name. He asked me if I ordered one Chicken sandwich combo with one cheese and cherry pie, I told him it was 3 chicken sandwich combos with fruit punch and 2 cherry and cheese pies, because they said they only had 2 pies left. Then he made a confused look on his face and went in the back to talk to his manager, it was already 10pm now, closing time. He then comes back to the window and tells me that he is only taking cash because the machine is down. This upset me greatly because I had been waiting in that drive thru for 30 minutes just to make my order, now he's telling me he can't take my order because I don't have cash and the manager is there backing him up. I told them this seems dishonest and lazy because you didn't tell me that when I was making my order and now that it's 10pm closing time and you got my order wrong, now you want to just get me out the line and just cancel my order? Not even take my order? I was very upset. I'm never going to order popeyes again. What a big waste of time. I don't know what drugs these people are smoking, but they need to be drug tested. And simply, if you get my order quantity wrong, how hard is it to just triple it? Isn't that why they call it fast food. I'm actively telling my social media subscribers not to buy Popeyes chicken. And especially not to go...

Louisiana fast food comes to Hollywood, Florida. Unfortunately, the new Popeyes restaurant needs some service upgrades. Hopefully, with a little more time and training, customer service will improve.

If you've been to a Popeyes, you know how popular the red beans and rice is. When we arrived in the early evening, we had to wait for awhile as the manager, who was manning the cash register, joked with the kitchen staff and the couple in front of us. After taking the couple's order three times and getting it wrong every single time, he finally managed to get the order right and actually made the correct change.

When we had the chance to give our order, we learned that they were out of red beans and rice. That disappointment was followed by another round of the manager joking with staff and other customers in line behind us. This resulted in the need for us also to have to give him our order four times before he got it right.

(I should mention that everyone working at this new restaurant was extremely pleasant, they just had no awareness that Popeyes is a "fast food" restaurant.)

When we were finally served, the food was delicious. Although disappointed by the lack of red beans and rice, the chicken sandwich, the chicken tenders, and the Cole slaw were outstanding. The mashed potatoes and biscuit were tasty, but not at the same level as the other fare. All in all, the meal was very good for a fast food joint.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely LOVE Popeyes!! It’s the absolute best fast food in this earth. Virtually every Popeyes location had an average Google review of over 4.2. However this Dania Beach location has an average review a full point less than any other location in the entire USA! This Dania Beach location has been plagued with the absolute WORST manager in the country. This Dania Beach location is the closest to my house, but I routinely steer clear of it because of this nasty person who runs the store. The employees are clearly scared of her and hate their job. The North Miami Beach location is awesome and the people are nice, sweet and make you feel like family. The West Hollywood location on SR7 / 441 is also great as well - same holds true for the downtown Ft Lauderdale location. I successfully avoided the Dania Beach location for about 2 years until today. My order consisted of about $30 of fried chicken and fries. I asked for some sauces and the drive thru employee told me that he would be fired if he gave me sauces for free. $30 in fried chicken and NO SAUCES ALLOWED! It’s actually very very funny. I paid $1.08 for four Mardi Gras mustard sauces which were used up after a couple pieces of my large order. I ordered an iced tea, but they didn’t have any. No lemonade either. No bottled water. As a fourth choice, I ordered a couple cokes, but they didn’t taste right. The employees are scared of this miserable lady manager. You can’t miss her!
