Was out and about running errands and decided to try another pizza place here in Danvers. We’ve only been here about two months now so I’m continuing my search for the pizza that reminds me of my favorites back home. Rocco’s came highly recommended so I gave them a try. Fast and friendly service, I ordered a pie with a few of your basic toppings along with an order of cheese sticks and a couple of Whoopee pies to take out. Had a Coke while I was waiting, about fifteen minutes and I was good to go. The pie was fine when I got it home, pretty much a New York thin crust style and the cheese sticks were good. Haven’t had one of the whoopee’s yet but I’ll get to it eventually. All and all I couldn’t really find anything to complain about here. The business is well established with over 30 years in Danvers so they aren’t looking to impress anyone but there menu DOES impress. It’s not just pizza here but also: calzone (which I will be going back to try) sandwiches both hot and cold, Parmesan Plates and hamburgers and hotdogs if that’s your thing, not to mention salads! The variety here was a lot to take in! I probably missed out just getting the few things I did but it was also near closing so I’ll have to be making a return trip. It felt like this was a place to come and hang out to have a bite and socialize and there looked to be a number of regulars doing just that. Not my hometown pizza but a good variety of food at very good affordable prices and friendly visit. Thanks Rocco’s, I’ll be back! 10/01/2022- Finally got around to trying the Whoopie Pie and was not disappointed! A bit like a chocolate moon pie we used to eat when I was a kid: two chocolate cake patties sandwiching a whipped cream with nuts. I added a daub of ice-cream and truly said “WHOOPIE!” when I bit into it. 😎

There was an ordering error (totally on my end, i clicked something like 4x) and before I could even get to the store- my father without my knowledge called the store to try to get it figured out for me. My dad grew up in Danvers & Rocco’s was his local favorite everything- so he wanted me to have a good experience at his favorite place. The manager Adam was the poor soul who had talked to my dad on the phone (all the way back in MD might I add) to try to figure out what happened. Adam was very patient and caring about the situation & was focused on me to have a good experience at Rocco’s. The ordering error was situated & the food was amazing. We will be back (hopefully without my dad calling- that was embarrassing😂)!

Ordered takeout Lg Cheese Pizza. Pizza was hot at time of pickup. Flavor of cheese and sause was good, had correct amount of oil on pizza. The thin crust was bland, flat, texture less, chewy in the middle of the pizza and crunchy toward the outer edges. The crust of the pizza actually tastes like Unsalted Oyster Soup Crackers. Overall it was a enjoyable pizza in Danvers Ma.

This is the first place in a long time that makes meatballs and sauce (Gravy) taste like my Mom's. I mean I can make them myself but when I don't have time or am too lazy (more often than I would admit) I go to Rocco's . The pizza has an Italian crust not a Greek crust and as an Italian woman who married a Greek man, there is a difference. If you like Italian that tastes Italian or you want to learn the difference, try Rocco's. The prices are in-line with other places but the quality and taste is high above the rest. I have tried a lot of their menu and I haven't found anything that...
