Authentic Mexican Flavor Right in the Neighborhood!
I can't believe I waited this long to try the restaurant inside this gas station! I live just down the road and stop in all the time, but today was my first time ordering food—and wow, what a fantastic experience. I had the Kesabirria on corn tortillas, featuring braised shredded beef, cilantro, onions, and cheese, served with a cup of rich birria broth. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the broth took it to another level! My husband ordered a chicken quesadilla and a beef burrito. The burritos are huge and delicious, but the standout was that quesadilla—the seasoning on the chicken was absolutely perfect. This isn't your standard Mexican fare. The dishes here are authentic, full of bold flavors, and prepared with care. To top it off, the staff was incredibly friendly and informative, making the experience even better. If you're looking for amazing Mexican food with real, homemade flavors, you have to check this place out. I can't...
Read moreWe have tried breakfast from here and it was pretty good. Heavy on the egg in the tacos. We love the red and green salsa. We also tried it for lunch. I will say the asada street taco was not good. The meat is not like any steak I've ever had. I would not get it again. Carnitas burrito was decent. Light on the meat. Chipotle does a better one to me. Birria tacos were pretty good. Cheese dip was good. Guacamole needs more seasoning, it was lacking flavor. Rice was good, beans are good. I will say the sizing on them are small for it being $3 a piece. Felt like kids sizing. Elote was pretty good too. Over all the meat in the dishes feels like they are skimping. Also some things are a little pricey in our opinion for what you get. There are some good aspects of the food though. I think breakfast was better! We were just expecting more for lunch. Will give them another try for lunch. The candy they make is wonderful. Skittles are...
Read moreFinally, standard authentic carne asada tacos! I moved to Alabama a few years ago. I grew up somewhere where carne asada tacos are as common as rain and I took that for granted. I thought every city had plentiful taco options. Its been a real struggle these last few years not having easy access to good ol' regular authentic style carne asada tacos. Don't get me wrong, we've got some good stuff here, but it is few and far between (inconvenient). Not here! Thanks to Rosy I've now got easy access to some perfectly executed tacos. I plan to return at least weekly, if not more if my work schedule allows. ...the Guac is also superb, freshly made...
