Zazzo's Pizza & Bar - Darien — Restaurant in Darien

I enter of the Zazzo's restaurant tonight about order some buffalo wing and the owner of the restaurant and see me next in lines and looking at my black color and baddddd business and we bleed the same color ...that color are red and it's Veryyyyy sad for him too walking away and know he would take my order and he look up and see I am a black woman and you living in old time and whyyyy in hell .... Treated every one equal and the state need come out of place of business and send a black person ..... He doesn't want take my black order and he did it's not right for anyone get treated like this ... I can telling you doesn't like yourself and remember this we bleed Red color and service of treat and one like this .....I know you going treat your kind fair and treated my color with respect also and end of the day the money you get from me ... It's are green and it's spent like no color on there The owner of the bussiness have color problems I end up throw the food away in the trash can .... It's very bad .... Why would I eat your food 🙄😱👹I trying looked over people like this ... God doesn't like anyone so anyone like this 🥺 you need some color training and how treat everyone the same wayyyy and people like you I can telling your mom and father had problems with black color 🤔you doesn't get out of life....I Will report this matter with channel seven news and sometime paper and make sure they see this problem of the Zazzo's restaurant owner 🤐🤯👺 Also buffalo chicken wing I got from your Zazzo's restaurant The chicken wing bleed same color ....it's Red also Used asking for your number to order and every time .... Giving my numbers and spelling my name and wouldn't put my name in the computer for order and because my color back ..... Put anyone number in the computer and that Tell you this ........ Color It's not fair at all ..... Would put this company on blasting...because of color 🤔 This place of business need be...

Ordered two appetizers to start. One was the pretzel bites stuffed with cheese and served with marinara sauce, the order comes with 7 pieces and is on the menu for $9.00. The second appetizer was the appetizer plate, comes with a mix of fried vegetables and is on the menu for $11.00. The online menu has wonderful pictures of what was ordered. Our waitress delivered the appetizers to our table. The pretzel bites were 9 regular bites (not stuffed but they were the kind you get in the freezer section of a grocery store) with a side of cheese. When we asked our waitress she told us that they have not had the menu item for some time and they have substituted what she served us. Why she didn't tell us this when we ordered I don't know. Next, the manager came to our table to address our concern. He explained that because of COVID his vendor has been unable to supply the menu item. I told him I understood but the substituted item is not what we ordered and we should have been told before it was served. I also commented that we were paying the same price for a lesser product. He didn't seem to care and said, "Well I'm paying 5 dollars for gas." Not sure where he was going with this analogy except maybe the gas station without telling him substituted his gas purchase with some other product and expected him to pay for it the same? Anyway, we finished our meal and the pizza we ordered was fine. When I got the bill I had to laugh. The stuffed pretzel appetizer, actually the not stuffed pretzel appetizer, that was $9.00 was now $9.50 and the $11.00 appetizer plate was now $12.00. We paid our bill and left. We have dined in and taken out from Zazzo's many times in the past without a complaint, unfortunately this will be...

We haven't ordered from here in years because the last pizza we had I bit into a bone in the sausage that was on our pizza.

We had a gift card and ordered a pizza on July 17th for a 4:30pm pick up. When my husband went in to pay for the pizza with our gift card the kid put it through and then threw the card away when there was money left on it. When my husband asked the kid why he threw the card away, the response was that he didn't know if there was anything left on it. So my husband asked for the card back.

Even if the person working the register doesn't know if there is money left on the card shouldn't they offer it back to the customer? If the customer tells you to throw it away then you do. We think this kid was going to get the gift card out of the garbage and keep it. We knew that there was still enough money on that card for another pizza.

Other pizza companies also offer specials for pizzas on Mondays, you can order online with them and they give you the pizza for the special price. This place doesn't allow you to order online for the special price, you have to call them.

The pizza is ok but we won't...
