I heard they were having an open mic night. As a singer/songwriter I decided to give it a go. I called ahead of time and they said it starts at 9. I drove almost 2 hours to get there (from Port St Lucie) I arrived almost an hour early so I could get a good spot. I was the 1st person to sign up. I signed up for the 2nd slot. At 9:10 I asked if they were going to start. The guy who runs the show (Joe) told me that they normally start at 10. He also told me they generally start with a band that goes on for 30 minutes first. Now I'm thinking it'll be at least 1030 before I get to go on. The band was really good. Really, really good. As someone who has played open mics and even paid gigs for over 30 years, I felt intimidated to follow them up. These guys were super skilled and made shredding look easy. Yet, I was still willing to follow them up with my act. The band finished at 1030. Then they called up another guy. I figured he was the guy who took the #1 slot and that I'd be next. He went up and played with most of the same guys on the stage. Then they called the next guy up. It was not me. I said, ok... maybe this guy had the #1 slot and they had 2 bands? No... they continued to call people up who have obviously been playing with the same house band. They continue to invite another and another and another to come up and jam on a bunch of cover songs with the house band. I sat there until midnight, when I gave up and left pissed. The whole time I was there I was not approached even 1 time by the bartender/wait staff. I got 1 margarita when I went up to the bar and flagged her down. It tasted like Kool aid. If I could give this place a 0 star rating for wasting my entire day, I would. This place deserves to be shut down. The patrons are a bunch of rough looking bikers and homeless people and if you ain't one of them, you're probably going to get overlooked. It sucks because the place was packed and it would've been a good crowd to play for. I won't be...
Read moreMy colleagues and I visited this bar last night based on a recommendation from a friend who worked with us last night. We arrived expecting to enjoy a late drink, as the website advertised a 3:00 AM closing time. However, we were abruptly told to leave at 2:00 AM, the actual closing time, which the website has since been corrected to reflect.
The sudden closure wasn't the primary issue. The bartender's behavior was unacceptable. She aggressively yelled at us to leave, using profane and degrading language. Her conduct was unprofessional and frankly, shocking. When I expressed my concerns to security, I was met with a dismissive attitude and the explanation that it was a 'bike bar,' implying that such treatment was acceptable.
To add insult to injury, my friend, who recommended the bar and had just purchased a drink, was subjected to a loud and confrontational argument by the same bartender. The tall one with black hair and tattoos.
This experience was extremely disappointing. The combination of the inaccurate website information and the appalling behavior of the staff resulted in a thoroughly unpleasant and disrespectful experience. I cannot...
Read moreThe place was cool, cheap beer prices, live music, couple of quarter pool tables in great condition. Just know, they don't go based on who has quarters down. You have to write your name on a board and start a list that way. We were surprised about that, because we are used to dropping quarters. But the regulars there, Mac & CJ were cool about it. They let us play another two games with our quarters up, and then we started on the board taking turns. The waitress we had was VERY attentive, even though the place was packed, wish I would have gotten her name, she was great. Bartender Anna was awesome too. The band was AMAZING, Slingshot Mafia killed it, as always. All around a good time. If you're in the Davie area, I recommend it. Smoking on the inside, but isn't too foggy, so good ventilation. I can't comment on food, because we didn't get any, but...
