Outpost Burger — Restaurant in Davis

Great addition to the Davis burger scene. Roomy great atmosphere inside the restaurant, good value for price, and yummy food! Definitely worth a visit! I will be back.

Food: they serve burgers, hotdogs, fries, chicken sandwiches, and chili. I think this the only place in Davis that specializes in smash burgers. I got the deluxe smash burger (8.99) with an extra patty (2.99). It had a great classic burger taste and definitely hit the spot. The Nashville Hot Hoagie had a nice spicy kick but not super spicy. The meat was surprisingly juicy for how thick of a piece of meat it was. The chili was really nice and hearty, nice for a colder winter day. Fries were thick cut but still had a good crispiness to them.

Service: very friendly and answered all questions. You can either order at the front and wait for your food to be called (via text) or order at a kiosk near the entrance.

Atmosphere: the indoor atmosphere feels a bit like a cabin or outpost in the wilderness. The restaurant was very clean and felt open. There's a few arcade machines...

We love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is TOPS! They have an AMAZING gluten free bun. My husband (who is not gluten free) has raved about everything he has tried so far too. We probably eat here every two weeks.

The space is wide open and tables are accessible for mobility devices users. My only complaint is that sometimes they have live music in the courtyard between the burger place and the bar next door, and it can be a little loud. We try not to go on a Friday or Saturday night. Or we get take out and bring it back during live music nights (and if that is your jam, the music is usually really good).

If you have never been, it has a cool California nature retro vibe inside, a small arcade/claw machine area. and some indoor and outdoor seating. They also have TVs that usually have sports playing. The also have a rewards points program that you can get in on and...

My mom, husband and I were looking at the outside menu trying to decide if this is where we wanted to eat dinner, and one of the friendliest people I’ve met, came to the door and greeted us and invited us in to look at the menu inside. He was so delightful and helpful and patient as we continued to look at the menu. We all ordered and sat down in the cutest dining area, it’s decorated to resemble national parks. I expected my burger and fries to be good, but this completely exceeded my expectations. I got the deluxe onion smash burger and the smash fries and I mean it when I say, it was the best burger and fries that I’ve had. My family and I could not stop talking about how delicious our food was. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. I will be telling everyone I know, to come here!
