I have mixed feelings about my visit. The service could have been better. For starters, we ordered the Barrie tacos and were asked if we wanted beef or pork. We ordered beef and were charged an extra $3. We were then asked if we wanted rice and beans or fries and we chose fries and were charged 1.75. No mention of any up charges. We also ordered nachos and were charged $1 for chicken which I thought was already on it. We were not told of the happy hour deals which we heard being told to others. We also were not given the bottles of sauces that everyone else seemed to receive for their tacos. After about 20 mins, we just went up to the bar to order our drinks, despite there being several waitresses walking around trying not to make eye contact with us. It's a shame, because the Arepas place that was here was really freaking good!! Have lived in Dayton almost 3 yrs now and have always wanted to stop here for a drink but never did. I had no idea they had a good menu either. We went tonight and it was awesome! Great food! Great drinks! Service was excellent. I’m only mad we...
Read moreAtmosphere is wonderful! Even during COVID precautions, outdoor seating is available. Location is convenient to downtown not far from Riverscape. Street parking is also easily accessible. If you enjoy Latin and reggae music, or a vibe that makes you feel that you are outside of Dayton in South America or in the Caribbean, this is the place! The Venezuelan food is authentic and delicious, especially the empanadas, the plantanos (plantains), arepas are all so delicious! Don't expect a crowd right now, there is plenty of space to make you feel comfortable. The drinks are really good and the staff and manager were all very attentive, timely and engaging. I cant believe I didnt know about this place sooner. I will definitely...
