Update 10/27/21: The kitchen/chef has recently changed hands and the pictures of the menu I posted prior are no longer the food that is served. The new food is just ok and the last time we went to eat there, the bar service was not that great. No one acknowledged us or took our drink order. After about 20 mins, we just went up to the bar to order our drinks, despite there being several waitresses walking around trying not to make eye contact with us. It's a shame, because the Arepas place that was here was really freaking good!! ------------------------------------------- Have lived in Dayton almost 3 yrs now and have always wanted to stop here for a drink but never did. I had no idea they had a good menu either. We went tonight and it was awesome! Great food! Great drinks! Service was excellent. I’m only mad we didn’t go sooner!!

My husband and I ate here, and it was a nice experience. Our waiter was attentive and took care of us. He knew the menu well which was helpful for me with all the questions. They had a special tonight for 2 of the fish tacos for $10. We also got the taquitos. My opinion on the pico for the taquitos was a bit onion heavy and light on the tomato. The fish tacos were really good. Their baha sauce was what gave it great flavor and the fish was of great quality. My husband ordered a margarita, and he liked it, but I'm not a tequila fan. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice hang out with nice drinks. The music they played was perfect for our generation (20-30s) they also have live music often.

Had an awesome experience tonight at Bar Granada. Got to try three different tequilas and Paul took time out of his night to talk to us about them and talk about the process of making tequila. The atmosphere was really nice and I can't wait to come back and try the food. Follow up review: the food is also fantastic and Paul has gone out of his way to make us feel welcome here in each follow up visit. I love Barrel House, but Bar Granada is becoming my favorite spot to hangout in Dayton.

I have mixed feelings about my visit. The service could have been better. For starters, we ordered the Barrie tacos and were asked if we wanted beef or pork. We ordered beef and were charged an extra $3. We were then asked if we wanted rice and beans or fries and we chose fries and were charged 1.75. No mention of any up charges. We also ordered nachos and were charged $1 for chicken which I thought was already on it. We were not told of the happy hour deals which we heard being told to others. We also were not given the bottles of sauces that everyone else seemed to receive for their tacos. And to top it off, we were sitting at the bar but apparently on the wrong side ( by take out) because they spent most their time on the other side of the bar and it took forever to get their attention to check us out! Not sure I would go...

Atmosphere is wonderful! Even during COVID precautions, outdoor seating is available. Location is convenient to downtown not far from Riverscape. Street parking is also easily accessible. If you enjoy Latin and reggae music, or a vibe that makes you feel that you are outside of Dayton in South America or in the Caribbean, this is the place! The Venezuelan food is authentic and delicious, especially the empanadas, the plantanos (plantains), arepas are all so delicious! Don't expect a crowd right now, there is plenty of space to make you feel comfortable. The drinks are really good and the staff and manager were all very attentive, timely and engaging. I cant believe I didnt know about this place sooner. I will definitely...
