My brother was really excited to take me to The Bucket of Blood, and I was excited to go there. Virginia City and especially The Bucket of Blood were number one on my list for my week in Reno. We walked in on 5/19/21 and took a seat at the bar. The bartender's back was to us as talked to a couple guys at the end of the bar near the front door. We waited a few minutes before he turned around and walked past us. We tried to catch him just to make sure he knew we were there. He walked back to the guys with a drink. By this time it was obvious they were his friends. We waited at least 5 minutes more and he never turned around again. This iconic old west Virginia City National Landmark is a loud, festive, themed bar, with a live piano that plays itself accompanied by all the western dressed characters who stroll in. The locally produced beer sets the stage here for some interesting people watching indeed. Nearly 2,500 square feet of space also features gaming machines, a killer view, delicious mint juleps, Sarsparilla for the kids, hot drinks and much more. Recommend also the Irish Coffee โ amazing. Tight when crowded but so much fun. Branded merchandise also available. A very,...
