Will never go back! Bad owner experience for a local place where we’ve spent thousands of dollars on $#|t pizza! Bad service from the OWNER! Don’t know who you think you are, but your customers especially your locals, are your bread and butter. You better know this local will NEVER be back there again. You should let your staff handle situations and just sit back enjoying drinks. You obviously don’t understand customer service. So, to respond to the below, you’ve never asked my dog to be on leash or not be in the back of the kitchen because that’s never happened! All you had to do was nicely come over, when you did and were rude, I did leash my dog immediately. You like to lie about the situation instead. I was completely calm, apologizing that my dog was back there and you were ready to send my dog out to the street before I stopped you. Didn’t ask anyone in the “restaurant” who’s dog it was, just ready to let a collared animal out into the street. You didn’t ask me to leash my dog, you very rudely talked to me when I was very nice and apologized for anything my dog did in 30 seconds. I’ve seen dozens of dogs, off lease, wondering around that establishment many times. You’ve never once said anything about my dog, because she’s hardly been in there. Literally like the fourth time my dog has even been in the Red Dog. Not begging for scraps, my dog is trained and well behaved. Very easy to come over and say nicely my dog isn’t allowed where it was instead let’s be honest, YOUR dog was sitting in the back of the kitchen! If you want to lie, I’ll just lay out the truth. But no worries you don’t have to have me, the many friends of ours being there, or the people that trust and know us to come to an untrustworthy establishment that wants to lie about what took place. Good luck sir and realize you lost a very loyal local with family and friends in the entire area that will send that patronage to other places that know how to talk to and...
Read moreSecond worst pizza of my life. (First was Travis AFB dining hall.) They say it's Chicago style. I'm from Chicago. This pizza did not resemble anything that comes out of Chicago.
I ordered a small pizza. Took almost an hour to land on the table. Was really looking forward to it based on reviews. I think either just family and friends gave positive reviews or maybe people who live in countries where pizza doesn't exist, so they had no decent reference.
Immediately noticed the cardboard crist was black around most of it, scorched. The tomato sauce was even burned.
Toppings start about halfway in on the pizza, so you're left with a fair amount of the burned cardboard crust.
Every Giordano frozen pizza I've had was better than this...even the ones I badly burned.
I ate half of one slice and decided that garbage wasn't worth the caloric intake. I just left it there. I was pissed.
I can't believe they even put something that bad out for people to eat, much less charge decent money for it.
My advice to customers is to either chance ordering something else or just pick up a frozen pizza on your way home.
My advice to the Saloon is get out of that town and go have some decent pizza someplace, learn how to make it and do better. Hell, even domino's is...
Read moreBartender purposely ignored us for over 10 minutes. She was leaning at the end of the bar chatting with a couple. She looked at us (also sitting at the otherwise empty bar) a few times, ignored our hand gestures, walked past us to serve a local who appeared… and chatted some more… and when finally our food (basic reheated ribs and an OK pizza) arrived I stood up walked to the end and asked to order drinks. I’m not one to make a scene, so YES it took THAT long. We finally got drinks served, with fake-sounding apologies. As a brown gay couple, we strongly felt this was how things roll in that town. Overall the town was uncomfortable. This happened before that racism incident from a neighborhood business. I didn’t cause a scene and out of spite I still left my standard tip in cash. What’s worse than a sundown town? A town when you don’t even feel welcome in daylight. We left and vowed to spread the word all over the Bay Area where our friends/family are and sierras where we live and thrive with welcoming arms….that they don’t want visitors, especially of different backgrounds in Virginia City. This is the worst review I’ve ever given, and it is deserved. I know it’s late, but we got married 2 days later and I just came across a town ad that reminded me...
