Oakwood Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Dearborn

Inviting on the outside, not so much on the inside…when I entered the establishment, the bartender was engaging in a beer & deep conversation with a customer, so much so that she was in his face leaning on the bar. She saw me, and her demeanor quickly went to immediate disdain & distaste as if I was interrupting her conversation. Acting in accordance to her unprofessional behavior, she didn’t acknowledge me until AFTER she took a long gulp of her beer. I used to be a bartender and that was unbearably unprofessional & uncouth. She looked & acted like she was under the influence. Her tone was also dry when she did finally acknowledge me. And when she retrieved my food and handed to me, I gave her the money and gave me my change back, she didn’t say have a great day or enjoy, she just walked away without uttering a word. I still tipped her though.

As far as the food, it’s overpriced for what you get. The coconut shrimp & sauce were good. In fact, the sauce was the better half of the appetizer. And the chips & queso was…well let’s just say they would have been better off using Kraft singles & Picanta to make a better queso. It was shredded cheese with huge chunks of jalapeños & it was also oily. Major disappointment. Overall, I would never eat here again & I told my co-workers to just drive pass it and ignore it. Awful service & not so great good. Definitely two thumbs down. A Coney Island would have been much better than this place.

I have been here 3 times. Customer service is amazing. Beautiful woman that have beautiful attitudes. I keep saying i will order something different but find myself ordering the same Lamb Chop entree over and over. You get a couple piece of lamb chops, 3 pieces of jump shrimp, 2 crab cakes, broccoli and waffle fries. You can substitute the waffle fries for a loaded potatoe. The lamb chops always taste A-1 . Everytime never fails. The jumbo shrimp have a nice crunch and are also perfectly grilled. The crab cakes here are the best crab cakes ive had in my life. They actually taste like crab unlike most crab cakes out there🤔. The rasberry sauce is to die for. You can dip anything into it and it will intensify the flavor. Vegtables are always steamed to perfection also. The wafle fries have a crisp on the outside and well done on the inside, perfect. The loaded potatoe was ok but thats really not my thing so it wouldnt be fair to judge on that. Make sure you order root beer with your food if your sober like me😂🤣😂. We have lived in the area a few years and have always passed by so we decided to order carry out and give them a try. Everything was fine when I ordered over the phone but When I went to pick up the order the server acted like she was bothered I was there. She looked annoyed and didn't smile at all. They gave me the wrong order at first and as I started to say something she snatched it from me without even saying sorry and went to the back to get mine. When we got home our food was a total disappointment. We ordered 8 pcs wings, coconut shrimp, spinach artichoke dip, and a cheese burger. The wings barely had any sauce on them at all. They were practically dry even though we asked for garlic parm. And they are not jumbo wings like advertised on the menu they were small wing dings. The coconut shrimp breading was burnt and they only gave us 5 small shrimp. The spinach artichoke dip very small, only just a couple of ounces. The cheese burger was the best thing out of everything we got and the meat was bland with no flavor. Not worth the $60 we paid.
