LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Allen Park

My family and I were here for my cousins birthday. Our party of 8 were sat back to back to each other so we asked an employee if we could sit at a booth beside our other half of the party and we were told yes. ( the also cleaned the table off and prepared for us to sit there). A manager walked towards us prepared to sit another party and asked us to get up. "Can you all get up because I have another party that were waiting for this booth.” Shocked (because it is extremely unprofessional to ask paying customers to get up) we told the manager that we had the Ok the sit there. As we were getting up, the manager aggressively asked who told us it was okay to sit there because "they were not doing their job.” My mother made a comment saying "here we go with the ghetto”. The same manager yelled and said "then you can leave!!!” Trying to deescalate the situation, my mother let the manager know how rude and aggressive she was being at that moment. We sat for about 5 minutes or so trying to speak to either a higher up or another manager about the situation because us leaving meant that our entire party (that includes an 80 year old woman and the birthday girl) had to leave which was unnecessary as we could have came to a resolution. Another employee who was very sweet and accommodating was sent out to be the one to tell us to leave again. At that point we asked to speak to another manager. The other manager comes out and we tell her what happened and she says aggressively, "Well I was told that you all were being disrespectful and if you were told to leave then you need to leave.” At that point my family and I were tired of talking and left the establishment. As a family of service workers we understand what it’s like to have a lot of pressure on you especially as leaders. Although, nobody was called out their name or physically touch in any way shape or form. The initial aggression came from the manager who asked us to get up from our table which is in my opinion extremely rude and disrespectful. Overall, the service from the managers here wasn’t very pleasant. I’m not sure if they had previously experienced rude customers and called themselves protecting their peace but the treatment and escalation of the situation was unnecessary. Regardless, my family and I are still going to enjoy or time together and I hope that both managers have a better day and I hope this is a learning lesson for everyone that sometimes regardless of how one makes us feel we never get out of character. If the situation itself was triggering due to previous customers or experiences I hope that both managers find healing and peace...

I'm giving the 3 stars for my food, I ordered on the lunch menu and I got the half steak sandwich and a caesar salad and the steak sandwich was exceptionally good seasoned well and the salad was excellent as well. Once I arrived I was seated right away and my waitress brought me out water I then placed my order and when the order came out a young man brought it out not the the lady who said she was my waitress. Ok no problem, but I'm there for at least 45 mins and I don't see my waitress anymore and no one checked on me no one asked if I needed a refill or if my food was ok, nobody! To get my bill after I realized nobody was coming back I had to get up get the guy who brought my food out who is also the hostess. So I asked him is it customary here for no one to ever come back and check on me or see if I need anything else and I have to grab a random person for my bill He agreed this is not what was supposed to happen so I asked him for my bill and a mgr! The mgr comes out a real nice man very polite and I told him my issue, well come to find out my waitress is not only a waitress she's also the bartender and the carry order person so she's doing 3 or 4 different jobs then he said it's no excuse though why nobody has checked on me he did apologize and honestly I felt like more should have been done instead I was told next time I come ask to be seated on the OTHER side of the restaurant and I'll get more attention from a waitress and I'm tripping because I never saw a sign that said if I sat on the side they seated me on that once my order was placed I won't see my waitress again! I think there should be a sign telling folks that or give me heads up before I'm seated there! I listened to what he had to say I was polite I even complimented him on whoever made my steak sandwich but before he left I asked who is going to come get my money for the bill he told me the waitress would come out so I waited and I waited and after ten minutes I start looking in my purse for the correct amount and just left the money on the table and left! I can't go back to this location i really didn't feel like that was fair, why didn't the mgr take the money and check me out seeing I had just got don'le complaining that I had not seen my waitress and I had already been waiting to leave! You can't do two wrongs to somebody and think...

Not my first time coming in and normally I enjoy everything from service to food. Today was not a good experience. I don’t mind waiting to be seated, but when you seat someone you should be ready to greet and serve them. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated we were not greeted by our server for 25 minutes. We waited 15min and still no one came over to get us drinks. The gentleman that seated us came back over and asked if we had been helped yet. We told him no, and then it still took 10 more minutes for us to be greeted and drinks ordered. Even after ordering drinks we waited far to long to get them. We then ordered food and I let our server know that they never gave us utensils, which they normally bring when they seat you. So she finally brings the bread and leaves, but never gave us a knife. So we sat and waited 5 minutes for her to bring a knife to cut the bread. Then after waiting 45min to be seated and over 30min to get pop, water, and bread we finally got our food. While trying to enjoy our dinner an employee thought it would be a good idea to take a drill and fix two of the tables right next to our booth. I work hard for my money and when I decide to choose a restaurant to spend my money at I expect to at least enjoy my food in peace. That has to be the rudest thing I’ve ever seen. You don’t do that next to someone while they are eating. I have never seen such poor service or management. From our wait time to be seated to getting the bill was 2 hours and most of that time was us just sitting and waiting for service. Honestly ridiculous. If I could leave zero stars I would. Very disappointed. The only positive thing I have to say is that the food was decent per usual. I really hope that management understands how as a paying customer this not only was bad service, but also inconsiderate of our time. Not once did a manager come over and apologize for the wait or the drilling.

I also forgot to mention to check your cups before you drink. Floaters in it, and they never refill your drinks. I had to ask every time. Never offered dessert, which we were going to get. But we were so annoyed that...
