Five Below — Local services in Allen Park

I wish there was a less than 1 star option. I was already overwhelmed in general from the store and the large crowd but that escalated when I went to the SELF SCAN. I always self scan my things at stores because I do not like people touching my belongings and I bag things a certain way. I told the worker that I would scan my own things. She proceeded to begin scanning my belongings. I told her 3 times that I wanted to scan my own things. She said it was a new policy that she had to cash people out even though 3 other registers were open with people scanning their own things. After I cashed out she said “well if you would have just told me you wanted to ring things up yourself I would have let you”. I did. 3 times. Five stars! The store and staff are perfect!!

The only con I have is the scalpers/resellers that come out to this store. Saw a family of 8 scalping all the nightmare before Christmas plushies, hogging access to bins, just harassing/making regular shoppers feel uneasy about even looking through the plush bins and hogging/holding onto """"rare"""" (oogie and zero) plushies to give to their family members for separate sales. Sadly scalpers/resellers found a loophole in the limit 4 per person rule hopefully the store shall find a better way to deal with these types of clientele as the experience I had with them this morning was not fun at all they just wouldn't give me any space, kept following me, forcing me out of shopping in certain spots and overall made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable with their intense and...

My boyfriend and I were in your store on 10/1/23 for the first time and we didn't know that we were in the wrong place in line and your cashier (skinny black girl with Afro Puffs) call herself being a smart a** shaded me and my boyfriend like "um the lines starts all the way over there" smh and there was a cashier (white girl with long black hair and black makeup) who picked up that we were annoyed at the skinny black girl's sarcastic remarks and waited on my boyfriend and I and helped us get checked out friendly and quickly and wished us a good day.
