I'm convinced that all of the reviews are fake. I'll start by saying that the restaurant and bathroom is very clean. There was soft arabic music playing, decor is simple and tasteful. We were greeted by a friendly young woman and then served by a very friendly young man. The service earns 5 stars. But, unfortunately, that's not really what matters most at a restaurant. What matters is the food. Firstly, the menu is way way too diverse. They have way too many options that makes me think that nothing is fresh and they're running it like a coney island diner where everything is made in bulk and frozen and then thrown together per order. We ordered hummus (it had a weird bitter taste), fattoush (way too much salt and olive oil), the chicken combo platter (all of the chicken was extremely dry and the "secret sauce" for the grilled chicken breast tasted like dish water) and a "chicken fire wrap" which was not even spicy. The chicken was very dry and it had a weird cheese sauce and way too many pickles. Also I asked what is in the "secret sauce" for the grilled chicken and the server kindly let us know he doesn't know because the owner (I'm assuming the owner) won't tell anyone, not even his son. This seems weird to be because 1st of all... it's not good sauce at all. And secondly, what if I was allergic to an ingredient in it? You should tell people what's it in. Don't worry, no one will copy the secret sauce.
Bottom line: You're already in Dearborn. Go to any other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday was my first time visiting Zaytoona. The food, quality, and service here are all EXCELLENT!
I missed having Ollies across the street to go to and noticed Zaytoona months back, even before the pandemic. Apparently they went through a change in ownership since they first opened.
I placed a carryout order for three sandwiches (Chicken Shawarma, Hommous & Tabbouli, and Falafel), a small hommous, and garlic sauce. The crew working were super friendly (especially Mark who suggested their boneless grilled chicken for my next visit).
The food was fantastic! I inhaled it! Very tasty garlic sauce and the sandwiches were generous in portion. In short, if you liked Ollies, you'll most likely like Zaytoona, at least with their sandwiches and overall "flavor". I can't wait to return to try a full entree and check out their consistency.
Their prices are about on par with Ollies from their latest menu. The entrees across the board are pretty much the same, but Zaytoona is a bit less expensive on their sandwiches, soups and sides, and more expensive (by $0.75-1.50) on their appetizers and salads.
So far, it's a strong recommendation for Zaytoona. Everyone has their own preferences for different types of food, but this place worked for me. Looking forward...

"Dear,
I wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional experience I had at Zaytoona Lebanese Cuisine restaurant. I recently visited and ordered the kefta kabab, but there was a slight mix-up in my order. When I returned to clarify, the owner kindly explained that what I had received was actually a different dish, although he couldn't recall its exact name. It turned out to be the beef kebab sandwich, and he generously offered it to me along with hummus, all at no extra cost.
I must say, not only was the owner incredibly kind and understanding, but the food itself was truly outstanding. The flavors were some of the best I've ever tasted in Mediterranean cuisine. I appreciate the owner's graciousness in resolving the mix-up and the complimentary additions to my meal.
I highly recommend Zaytoona Lebanese Cuisine to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. Your dedication to customer satisfaction and the remarkable taste of your dishes make it a must-visit establishment.
Thank you once again for a memorable meal. I look forward to...
