My friend Michael Gowen highly recommended this place so our group of friends and I recently embarked on an unforgettable wakeboarding adventure at Sky Rixen USA in Deerfield, Florida, and I cannot express how fantastic our experience was! We opted for a private class as beginners, and from start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make it an incredible day.

First and foremost, I have to commend the staff for being absolutely amazing. Their friendliness and willingness to help were immediately apparent. As first-timers, we had our fair share of nerves, but the staff put us at ease right away. They took the time to walk us through the basics of wakeboarding, ensured we were equipped with the proper safety gear, and patiently addressed all our questions. Their expertise and enthusiasm made us feel not just welcomed but excited to dive into this thrilling sport.

Our instructor deserves a special shoutout. They tailored the lesson perfectly to our skill level, delivering clear and concise instructions that were easy for us to grasp. Their patience and encouragement throughout the session were instrumental in boosting our confidence as we progressed. Google does Rixen a disservice by listing it as an equipment rental facility when in fact its a full-fledged wake park that rents out equipment. However, I choose to come to Rixen because of the atmosphere. Allen has the absolute best personality you could ever hope to find in a person. He's personable, enthusiastic, and his attitude infects the place and it makes you glad to be there. You'd never guess he's an absolute monster on the cable because he's too humble. Anthony, and the rest of the guys are just mind-blowing athletes and all-around cool bros who do their best to offer you the instruction you need when you're out there while DJing up a great playlist on the speakers to create a chill vibe for the place. Keep in mind that a ton of the kids out here are nationals-level riders mixed in with people coming for their first time. The first day is very difficult and it takes awhile to get the hang of it so don't feel intimidated by the prodigies with years of experience. They all know what it was like to start out. This place is truly amazing. The water is clean and the staff is very friendly. When you look down into the water there are a lot of fish which is a cool experience as well. The selection of different types of skiing ranges from knee boards to water skis. They even have three different types of wake boards based on your level of experience. My fifth time going there I was able to get around the whole park at full speed. The staff are very helpful and give you the confidence to try new things. Even though there are no services to bring you back to the beginning after wiping out, it is still worth it to walk back and keep trying. They have classes on the weekends from 10 - 12 AM for $50. This might sound expensive, but they give you get a lot of benefits from it. These being a ride in a golf cart back to the starting area and a slightly slower speed for you to learn to ride.
