I hadn’t been to this place in a while—the last time I came, I had their pot pie soup and liked it. So I decided to order again. I placed my order at 7:45 for an 8:30 pickup and got there a little after 8:30. When I got home and opened my sandwich to heat it up, I was really disappointed. There were just a few tiny shreds of turkey on the sandwich. I called the store to let them know. The person who answered said they weigh the meat and that what I got was the right amount. I told him both sandwiches barely had any turkey, but he just kept repeating that they follow their rules. He put me on hold, then came back and said there was nothing they could do because they were closing soon. He didn’t offer to fix the problem or even say sorry. For $7.99, I expected a better sandwich. All I saw were a lot of vegetables and only a small amount of meat. I should have gone to Subway instead. This was a waste of my time, money, and gas. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Just tried the Sweet Chili Chicken sandwich at Potbelly, and it’s got some serious flavor going on. The grilled chicken’s juicy and warm, and that sweet chili glaze? Tangy, a little spicy, and just the right amount of sticky. It’s the kind of sauce that makes you pause mid-bite and appreciate what’s happening. I skipped the pickles this time, and honestly, no regrets—the sauce had room to do its thing without getting interrupted. The toasted bread adds that classic Potbelly crunch, and I went with cheddar, which melted perfectly into the whole mix. It’s sweet, savory, and a little messy in the best way. This isn’t your basic sandwich—it’s got personality. If you’re into bold flavors but don’t want to go full spice mode, it hits a nice middle ground. Definitely something I’d order again, maybe with extra sauce next time just to lean into the chaos.

I really liked the sandwiches. The taste and the ingredients that goes into the the sandwiches are better than any subways. Also, the shakes are tasty as well. The employees are nice and polite. Also, loved the setting and the various NIU souvenirs that can be seen in the store. Although, they should allow tips in cash and add a tap jar since tips can only be paid in credit cards and not cash.

Unbelievably bad experience. We went through the line, like normal, no issues. We were polite, said please and thank you - just normal fast food ordering behavior (at least for my mother and I). Got to the cash register area and laid our stuff down at the left cash and stood waiting to be cashed out. The only woman on the line (date 9/8 at approximately 6:45pm) SKIPPED US and cashed out the man behind us on the register on the right and the woman behind him. We stood and waited - maybe she'll cash us out once we get our shakes. Our shakes were done and this woman kept her back turned to us fiddling with bags for order pickups. We waited. Still ignoring us. I politely asked the man making the shakes (projected my voice so there's no way she couldn't hear me) if we could please be cashed out. He yelled at the line for "someone" to check us out. She turns around and helps the man who had walked in behind us. She completes his order and turns back around to what she was doing previously, again ignoring us. I, again, loudly (and admittedly with less politeness) ask if we can please be cashed out. She slowly turns around and looks at us and saunters over. Checks us out. We leave. What in the world was this woman's problem? I've worked in retail before (5 1/2 years). I never in my life treated a client/customer like that. Age, gender, creed, health, (dis)ability, nor skin color ever determinated how I treated clients. I helped people who were rude, polite, or indifferent. This woman needs a serious attitude adjustment. Does the owner/manager really want her to continue treating customers like this? We won't...

I apologize in advance for the lengthy review. I just wanted to say I had an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish today (12/3/20). I called around 1:15 to place an order for delivery, and the lady I talked to on the phone was extremely friendly, pleasant, and professional, even though it was very busy. She apologized for having to go through door dash or grub hub, I can't remember, and for the (minimal) wait time, because they did not have a delivery driver for the day, and were very busy. She could've told me to order through door dash, (my words, not hers), but she was happy to take my order over the phone. She in no way complained about being busy, nor seemed to show any stress, anger, or inconvenience. This girl can work under pressure! It was such a smooth transaction. In fact, she said she was very grateful for my purchase, and thanked me multiple times for being nice and accommodating. (I had absolutely nothing to be upset about, but she was grateful anyway). My food got here very quickly, was absolutely delicious as usual, a lot for a good price, and there was even a friendly and personalized hand written thank you note on my receipt. I hope nobody gets in trouble for me saying this, but they even threw in a cookie for me, and it made my day. I only wish I caught her name, but hopefully the date and time will help with that. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience, I will absolutely order from...
