In the past, during the AM hours, I have dealt with a particular order taker/manager whose name I do not have. He would always come across as rude and in a hurry (I get that it's quick service) to take my order. One issue I'm sure you are well aware of is that it can reduce order accuracy. He would often use the phrase "is that it" after each individual item that I would order. This is a phrase that I coached to never use because it comes off as rude and doesn't really portray that you have a smile on your face or that you want to be there. Which is a quality that I'm sure McDonalds wants to project. This was fine for me but, just always rubbed me the wrong way. This morning however, my wife stopped at the same location after a doctors appointment to order some food and he was quite rude. Rude enough to where am I finally reaching out by email. She requested 2 regular Sausage egg and cheese mcmuffins and 2 hashbrowns and 1 SEC mcmuffin with extra cheese and 1 Sausage Mcgriddle. Apparently there was a bit of miscommunication and my wife requested to start the order. Your manager proceeded to say that he doesn't start orders over and that she should just read the screen. I'm sorry, but it is not the customer's job to make sure the order is correct, am I wrong? Telling a customer to read the screen does not absolve the manager/order taker from responsibility to make sure the order is correct. She did however, complain to another manager about his level of service. The female manager gave the excuse of there being a language barrier and offered to make sure the order was correct. However, when the order was complete prior to being handed out the window my wife asked what was in the bag and teammember responded with what was supposed to be in the bag. However what we received was 6 sandwiches and no hashbrowns. Granted, my wife did not check the bag prior to leaving the establishment, but should she have to? Has customer service at quick service restaurants become so incompetent that we need to always check our bag prior to leaving...
Read moreThe server didn't greet us and was as lackluster as milk left in the sun three days. When asked about the specials, which go by too quickly on the electronic screen, which isn't something she can control, she found a bent-up beaten up picture and then told us of another one with the new chicken biscuits, which I didn't hear and had to clarify. She took our order well, and we received our food quickly. The hash brown patty wasn't very hot, but at least it was crispy and not greasy. Our sausage egg McMuffins were hot and good.
I was able to get decaf coffee, (Yay!) unlike Burger King, where mine doesn't have it at all anymore. I only wish they had kept SweetNLow or would get pure Stevia (no Erythritol) or would get decaffeinated diet drink options for those of us whom can't have caffeine or for people and children whom would prefer no caffeine in the evening. Sprite Zero would be a good idea.
I had noticed the decor was nice when I set items on the table, but my husband said the upholstered benches were already tearing up. I said sometimes they decorate and forget things have to be long lasting. Then I noticed a really dried up french fry back against the wall under the table along with little bits of paper and crumbs, and there were crumbs in the seat where I was placing my coat.
Staff grew loud at one point laughing and joking around. There were few customers in the restaurant, so that's not a big detractor for me, but when one doesn't govern himself and yells out, "...he-l" I don't want to hear it, and if I had children with me, I wouldn't want...
Read moreWhen going to a fast food restaurant, I don’t fret over much. I understand these workers are underpaid and over worked by a greedy corporation that puts millions (if not billions) in profits in the bank each year. But I do expect to get my order correct. Especially when it’s $15+ for my order. After waiting about 20 minutes, my order was brought out to me. (Ordered on the app and parked in a curbside spot). The employee was courteous and apologized it took so long and told me to enjoy. I then headed home so I could get back to my desk to log back in to work. Once home, I noticed they forgot the bacon on my Cheesy Jalepeno Bacon sandwich. Not the end of the world, but I paid ”Top Dollar” for this meal, and it was messed up. So, I submit the issue on the app and then get a call from a manager. Based on the tone in his voicemail (and again when I called them back), I was an annoying part of his day. I remained polite and appreciative that they were handling this issue. They said I could look forward to a coupon in the mail for my troubles. Well, I got it. A free dessert. They screwed up a $15+ order, and I get a free dessert. I’m giving a bad review and sending the coupon back. They are obviously struggling financially, since they couldn’t even replace the item that they messed up, that I paid for. Will I still visit mcdonalds? Probably. Will it be this one or the one of...
