Capt Zeak's Crab House and Seafood — Restaurant in Delaware

I went into the store to pickup a crab order and was given a flyer with 10% off if I ordered online. Once I got back home I went to place an online order but found the prices to be falsely advertised. On the website it lists 1 dz crabs for $28 however when going to order those the prices jump to 66.00. when I called the store to clarify, and was told that the price listed is for half a dozen, not one dz as advertised. I don't know how the crabs taste because I ended up not placing an order bc of the confusion, but the store really needs to fix that because it is confusing and misleading. Maybe I will try at a later time.

*Update Maybe if you understood basic English, YOU'D understand what I said. YOUR website lists 1dz crabs for $28, however when ADDING them to the basket, the price increases w/o any explanation, to $66 w/ cleaning and saute. So no, it's not a matter of understanding basic math, it's a matter of what's listed on your website. Instead of trying to be sassy and clapback on SM, you should read to comprehend and then fix your website and take some accountibility. It's not my fault or anyone else's that YOUR website lists the price at $28/1dz. Oh, and the world I live in is the same one that you live in, that's why I called to clarify and then advised updating your website, which btw still lists 1dz for $28. Check your website, check the picture, CHECK YOUR SPELLING (BASIS MATH LOL) and then get it...

I typically do not leave reviews, but I had to share my disappointment with my order today. My usual spot to get blue crabs were sold out today so I decided to come to this location. I usually purchase my crabs live to assure they're fresh or if I request them to be steamed they're freshly cooked when I pick them up. I placed an order today to be told they do not have any live crab, but the crabs just came in today and were steamed earlier today. Clearly they were left over from yesterday or steamed multiple hours ago and refrigerated, but I'm guessing they were from yesterday's unsold stash. The meat in the crab legs were dry, tough and uneatable as if they were sitting or even refrigerated and some even had a bad ammonia scent as I began to crack them open. To avoid confrontation on returning them since there is a policy of not returning consumed food, I will take this as a loss, but I will not be returning to this location. As a paying customer and your other customers, it would be nice to be honest about the freshness of food. If the crabs were not freshly steamed, why offer them to anyone and take full payment??? Seafood or any food should always be freshly cooked when served. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this...

I recently relocated here so I had family in town & we wanted crabs. We are from Maryland where the size and price is way better. Since I purchased from this location before I thought we should just order crabs from here. There also was "SUPPOSED" to be a special that ended Sunday. We confirmed the size ,price & amount of crabs we were to get before placing an order. It wasn't until we got home ,dumped all the crabs out and realized we did not get what we paid for. I spent $173.50 on A ½ bushel of XL crabs & only received 23crabs. They mostly were shallow & some smelled like bleach. We called but of course we received the run around by then they were closing and we had to head back in town the same night. I was so pissed i had to throw away bad crabs & wasted my money. Since when do ½ bushel of crabs equal to 23crabs? When we spoke to Shy she tried to tell us that they do not count crabs but based off the size we ordered that it's whatever could fit in the box which is pure foolishness. We work too hard to be losing out on money. They should've accommodated us but of course they never did. I will never come here again & the manager never called us as we were told he would. Bad crabs and bad business...
