Changing Mains Food Truck — Restaurant in Delaware

After seeing these other reviews, I expected a good lunch. Instead I got a pedestrian chicken dollie sandwich, and greasy inedible sweet potato fries. My wife had a most underwhelming burger. All for the modest cost of $37! The fries alone (let me underscore they were inedible) were $9. It took about 20 minutes for preparation. There was one other customer there. Since there was only one other, we at least each got one of the two picnic tables, which serve as the atmosphere. Usually, I don’t write really negative reviews when I have an experience like this, but seeing a 4.9 rating , I just had to write this. I can’t help but thinking the other ratings were phony. I don’t want others to get ripped off as we did.

Changing Mains is an awesome concept for a food truck. They have a set menu with items that are always available and then, as the name implies, they have a rotating menu that changes monthly with special items. The Chicken Dollie Sandwich and the wings are insanely good. The wings are the crunchiest wings Ive had. This month they were doing Garlic Parm wings as a special and they were perfect. I’ve been twice in the last month and plan on visiting often.

They have outdoor picnic style seating with a fire pit and an indoor food court if you want to escape the cold weather during the winter. A year round spot for sure.

Overall super disappointed with the food. We are visiting and read great reviews, but the food was so underwhelming.

Paid $9 for truffle Parmesan fries and they had maybe two dashes of Parmesan and hardly any truffle flavor. Not sure why we paid $3 extra for nothing.

Ordered two sets of 6 wings, total $24. Read reviews that they were crispy but the buffalo ones were so small and soggy.
