We will never step foot in Mattress Warehouse again. Last August, we came in to purchase a new mattress and was told to lie on the “bedmatch” to find the best fit for comfort. It recommended a much softer mattress than what we would have selected on our own.
The mattress was delivered last August. After several days, I began to feel discomfort and soreness in my neck, shoulders and back. It’s worth noting that I have only slept on this mattress part of the past few months while spending long weekends in Lewes. In Washington, I sleep on a firmer mattress and have no issue with soreness or discomfort.
As the discomfort persists, I contacted the store about exchanging the mattress. I was then told that I would have to exchange it within 100 days and I just missed it.
The bill of sale says: “Before executing a comfort exchange, you must use your mattress for 30 days and allow it to properly break in. If after 30 days, you are not satisfied with the comfort of your original selection, simply contacting us to begin the process for your one-time comfort exchange. You will receive 100% credit of original purchase toward the current ticketed price of the replacement mattress.”
At no point, the salesperson or the bill of sale mentioned the 100-day window for comfort exchange. When I asked for consideration, Mattress Warehouse sent a representative to inspect the mattress. The representative detected a problem with the mattress in that the right side had sunk considerably lower than the left side. Despite this finding, Mattress Wearhouse declined to honor the comfort exchange warranty.
This is not the way to do business and you should know!

Read moreWish the sales person wasn't so hasty to make a sale. Wasn't given a chance to use the mattress selector in the front. Only test out mattresses in the back room. Being larger person, maybe should have suggested to double check at home if a thicker mattress could of been used on my platform daybed. After purchasing was too late as I could have gone thicker for better support by another 2". You have to wait at least 30 days from purchasing to return as the time frame for returns is between 30-100 days to give a proper test. Well issues stated a week in & by the time it was between the 30-100 days it's been too hot to return mattress to store as hubby n I deal with heat sensitivity with MS. So I continue to sleep on the couch as we both also deal with sleep disorders from MS too. Ugh! So out 300 bucks with a so called Sale mattress that causes pain to my arthritis. Wish the salesperson would have suggested to go home n double check as I wouldn't have minded spending double or more for a better mattress. So that I wouldn't still need to eventually need to be replacing such a...
Read moreI just want to make it known to anyone reading reviews that the one star review from the guy named Jon Green about bed bugs is a disgruntled employee who was fired for complaints about locking doors during work hours one of the complaints was from me personally. He has the door locked. No sign on the door, and was just sitting in a bed and flipped me off when I knocked. When I called I was told that I was not the first person to tell them he was doing this. I have since heard that he was fired for numerous reasons. The photos he posted are not from Mattress Warehouses. Every Mattress Warehouse store I have EVER been in has been fully carpeted from front to back. He is just mad because he got fired for good reason and is trying to give the company a bad name.
In MY experience this is a very nice store, so many mattresses to choose from. Working with Chad made the process much easier. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Was able to help me find the best mattress for me within my budget. Great customer service. Will definitely be shopping here with Chad for future...
