Coastal Taproom — Restaurant in Delaware

What a beautiful evening! I've never been to the Taproom. I've never listened to The Dip. Two hours later, I became a big fan of both. First, the place. No way a joint at the end of 24 behind the McDonald's and across the street from a Royal Farms can have any soul. I was wrong. It does. It is terrific. Everybody that works there is on the same page. And man, you can feel it. What a great space. And the band. The place and the band were in harmony. And the band. Jesus. People between the ages of 21 and 75 were feeling it. And those guys gave all that joy without the hint of arrogance. And they are so good that they could be arrogant. But they are not. Genuine. True. Honest. Terrific. The place. The band....

So I didn’t just go to the costal tap house for drinks (because they don’t have food) I went for the empanadas they have on Thursday nights and let me tell you. These were hands down the best empanadas I’ve had. Brandon (Papi to others) hand makes these empanadas and makes them fresh as you order them. He’s extremely personable, has manners and the food (once you see the pictures) speaks for itself. On Thursday days alone for his specials would be my go to spot in Rehoboth, Delaware. Nice bar! Stopped into Coastal Taproom Friday for Happy hour and liked it so much I went back on Saturday night to hear live music and unwind from the week. This place has a lots of space, but it still seems inviting and relaxing. I liked that it has an indoor and outdoor area, a relaxed atmosphere, nice crowd of people talking, laughing, playing pool, listening to good music and dancing. This is my kind of place. For those who enjoy sports TV, you have plenty of spots throughout the bar to enjoy a game while there. I will be going...
