This McDonald's in Rehoboth beach, De has terrible management. My son apply 3 weeks ago and no one has called him until I came in to talk to the manager Steve Dobson. He told my son to come in to fill out some paper work and to start orientation. It's been already 2 weeks and every time my son comes in to finish the paper work and to start orientation, they keep informing us that Steve Dobson isn't "in" today and that my son had to reschedule to finish the paper work. It seems that Steve keeps ignoring us and changing his schedule to avoid hiring my son. I called today and another manager told me that Steve had change his schedule once again and that my son didn't have any application paper work pending. This is crazy, why would he keep lying to us?! Wasting our time and money (gas) for not even an answer. I am starting to think that he is perdigats towards Hispanic, even though he has at least 2 Hispanic employees working there. I am think that might be his limit for Hispanic employees. If he didn't want my son to work at this McDonald's, why not say it. I don't think that this manager is acting professional at all. He should have contacted us to let us know that the position was no longer available or whatever, not just to ignore us. It's not the fact that my son is not getting hired there that makes me angry. It's the fact that he should have informed us earlier, instead of wasting our time. Also the fact that my son was looking forward to his first summer job but ended up hurt instead. I hope that no one runs into this problem at this location. I also, hope that this "manager" Steve Dobson will learn to realise...
Read moreFor the record, I never leave reviews for anything, good or bad. That should give you some idea of just how bad our experience at the Rehoboth Beach McDonalds was tonight. First, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our food to be delivered to curbside because "someone thought it was for Doordash." It's written clearly in print on the receipt - Curbside Pickup. By the time we got our food, our fries were limper than my shoelaces. That's strike one.
Then we check the bag. Two sandwiches and 20 chicken nuggets are missing. Strike two.
We call the store (because they already have their lobby doors locked) and inform them of the mistake. Once they were informed that the order needed to be fixed, it took at least another ten minutes before anyone brought the rest of our order out. The employee that brought out the bag remained silent, handed it through the window, and immediately turned away as though they were disgruntled about having to walk our food outside. I don't even know how many strikes that should count as, tbh.
This isn't the first time this has happened at this location, but it was by far the worst. When we first started using the McDonalds app, it seemed to make things much faster and easier, but the last few times we have ordered from here, we experienced long waits and order screw-ups. This one was too much. Did management change or something??? I hope the owner is reading this, because something needs to change post-haste. This used to be one of the BEST McDonalds around! ...
Read moreI cannot believe the audacity of this McDonald's Associate Sammy. After watching eleven other cars being waited on in Lane 2 we were finally able to order in Lane 1; the Associate who took our order then came back a few minutes later and requested to take the order again. Payment made we approached the 1st Pick-Up Window and were sandwiched between vehicles with the 2nd Pick-Up window occupied by another car waiting for the rest of their order. Sammy gave us our food, one meal of which was for my 6-year old in the backseat, but the vehicle at the 2nd Pick-Up window had not completed their order. Sammy proceeded to yell at my Mother who was driving to move up. My Mother pulled up as far as she could to only be harrassed further by Sammy who continued yelling for us to move and stated in reply to where we should go given the nature of the packed Drive-Thru to 'Back it up or can't you drive?'. We were able to manuver out of the Drive-Thru parking to an actual parking spot. My son was distraught and kept saying we needed to move. We called in and spoke with the Manager Tori who had apologies to offer. This is not the first unpleasant and uncomfortable interaction with Sammy; however, it will be the last. Mr Mioney will also be made aware of this interaction and hopefully no one else's Family, especially their children will be subjected to...
