I am incredibly disappointed at this establishment. On December 23rd, my husband and I decided to try this place out because we LOVE steak. We just got done with a day of shopping at Christiana Mall. When we arrived we also had a 9-month baby with us. Once we got seated no one spoke to us for over 30 min, we arrived at 6:45pm and left at 7:25pm. Our waitress never arrived at our table, but we were patient after 10 min so we decided to just wait, that is until more people arrived and started getting taken care of immediately. Now, this is where it was starting to get irritating. At the 30 min mark, we decided to get up and leave. Because so many waiters and waitresses passed by us and looked at us without saying a word. As we were walking out, and gathering our belongings (we had a baby with us so it was a lot to carry) the two hosts at the front never said anything to us even though they saw us sitting there for quite some time. I immediately called the establishment as we were leaving the parking lot and spoke to that manager. He was sympathetic on the phone, and apologized because he said: "I know how hard it can be to go out to dinner with a child". He told us that if we came back, he would comp our entire meal. But since we had a baby, we could not go back. His solution to this was to send us a gift card, but before he could do that he told us that he needs to record what happened and send it to "corporate" so they can approve of the gift card. So we agreed and exchanged our information. We once again waited patiently for the mail to come, because we don't drive up to Newark often since we live in Dover. We never received anything in the mail, I called again to see what happened. On Jan 23rd I spoke to another manager and told him the story of what happened. This manager said they never send anything to "corporate", and since it was so long ago he doesn't know how he can help us. I felt insulted and patronized that what I said is being viewed as a lie. I understand that a month is a long time, however, the promises the first manager made were all a lie. Especially because he claimed he would write it down in their "system" for the other managers to see. SO I was lied to by this person. This manager decided to give another offer to solve this issue, and he said he would send a $20 gift card. We have not received anything in the mail. It is now Jan 31st. So basically I will never eat here, and let everyone know how poorly they treat people that report issues with this place. Concerns go unnoticed here. If I could give zero...

This place genuinely discriminates against biracial families. The staff is horribly insensitive and rude. My family of three went here for lunch. The staff seated and served the couple who came in behind us. This is as the bar staff, the last place in the world for a toddler, were openly talking about us. Making snide remarks about us to the patrons sitting there. We were finally seated after again the staff in the dining room discussed openly where to place is because of the and I quote "the stroller and wheelchair. We ain't got no short bus seats." As they laughed in front of us. I was so stunned and taken aback by the statements that I blindly followed the waitress who had just said this to a table near the front door where it it was drafty because of the people going in and out of the restaurant. When I asked for another table in the nearly empty restaurant the waitress rolled her eyes and walked away from us in a huff and never came back. Then watched and waited for someone, anyone to take our order. again people who had walked in after us were served. My husband had to walk over to the manager to see if she could get someone to serve as well as to bring us a highchair for my son. I don't think that had he not gone for help we would have been there to this day unserved. When we got food and drinks the food was cold and tasted so bad that I wasn't able to swallow it. We requested the manager we were told that we were being rude! We paid for the horrible food and drinks and left without ever hearing an apology for the behavior of the staff. My husband and I above making a scene, especially with our 9 month old child watching this all play out in such a horrible way. In my younger years I would have been verbalizing with extreme prejudice towards this kind of behavior. At the end of the day, I thank God that my son was too young to be able understand what he was seeing and why it was happening. And to clarify, I am a mom first and the fact that I am also the product of a loving biracial marriage, the fact my husband is Caucasian, the fact that my son is biracial, and finally the fact that I am in a wheelchair is relevant only in telling this story. These are things that do not define us as a family or individually . And those absolute facts are not in them selves or as a whole deserving of this kind of racist and out right ableism that my family received on this day. I hope that this was helpful and that anyone reading this never has to...

Wonderful surprise. I had wanted to take my wife out for Mother’s Day and she told me the day of, she didn’t want to go to her usual spot. Quickly searching for a solution this was recommended by a good friend who is picky with food.

Summary: Delicious food with the right atmosphere. Felt very private and intimate. Unique experience. Unfortunately they didn’t have any Cheesecake and we were too full to try to eat any other desserts. (Always room for cheesecake)

Starting off you walk in through this revolving door, very slick, and you enter in the bar side. Nice when you realize you may have to wait a few minutes before sitting. However, we had reservations. Even with reservations the place was so busy we would up waiting almost half an hour. Probably my one complaint.

After being seated we were brought delicious cucumbers and some water. Prompt and quick. Very appropriate on such a busy day. We ordered their “hand crafted” drinks and fell in love with them. I’m an Arnold Palmer fan so it was a nice surprise to see it on the menu. As you can see in the photo, they look lovely and taste better.

We ordered quickly since we had ample time to check out the menu. Bison nachos and a Bison Ribeye for me. The nachos were amazing. Fresh jalapeños with nice heat and flavor. Hot enough to kick your tongue but not detract from the flavor. Crunchy and wet with some delicious chips. My wife had the Bison strip. When in Rome? I could rave about the food forever. I’ve never had bison and it was delicious. I ordered my steak medium but probably could have done a medium rare. The meat was flavorful and juicy. Every bite had good marbling and crust. A nice mixture of crunch and juicy flavor. They only offered a 14oz ribeye so be prepared to eat or take leftovers. My wife struggled with the fat on her NY strip, because Bison does have a distinct flavor. She did enjoy it, save for the fat. (Her loss)

Overall we left full, and satisfied. I only wish we could have tried the cheesecake. I’m a lover of cheesecake and I think it would have set the bar high based on the rest of the dinner. Looking forward to a...

I had high hopes for this place. From looking outside until entering, Ted’s classy ambiance draws you in. I can say the drinks were good; they do carry blue cheese stuffed olives behind the bar for martinis! This is mostly where the 2 stars come from in my rating. The bison is a staple here, apparently so are these nasty little cucumbers they give you upon ordering your meal. The after taste is downright strange and I think they have the nerve to call them home made dill pickles or such. (Upon further investigation they are supposed to be half sours). I’m thinking maybe I just had two bad batches in my two times visiting this place due to the insane popularity of this “appetizer”. The first dish I tried was a bison steak salad. The produce a was fresh and crisp. The balsamic glaze was nice although a little sparse even for someone who takes just little amounts of dressing on salads. Could have done without the crispy onions, they really ruined it. I took crab cakes home to try, no one was impressed even with their own “South-western seasoned” style crab cakes. Next time, tried the Mahi-mahi special with mango salsa (which was not bad! Kudos.) and the Teds bison filet, of course. Now. The asparagus tasted like propane. The mashed potatoes I definitely recommend although slightly dry. The filet was a little over cooked but still edible and quite tender and juicy still. Overall not worth the money. It’s about 50$ a person and still just not worth it. I was disappointed. Other notes: They use mini cans for their beverages so if you just want a coca-cola, they will charge you per can like 1.60-1.75, offer you a refill not disclosing this info and charge you per 10 ounce refill lol. Just something I wouldn’t ever be able to do, that’s all. The night time bartender who served me first was great! The rest of the service I endured and witnessed was mediocre and strange to say the least. I’ll keep it at that.

I went to this restaurant for the first time with some work colleagues for lunch and it was fantastic. Thus my original 5 star rating. My food was cooked well and we were served immediately and it was great. However, recently, this past Saturday I wanted to take my husband to experience this place because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Disclaimer: It was a Saturday night and we did not have a reservation and they were really busy. There was a short wait and after my husband saw someone seated that arrived AFTER we did, they found us a table in the corner. Then the manager or owner brings his 'friends' to be seated at the table across from us. They caught up like old friends and his daughter even came and spoke to them. They got water and appetizers on the house before we ever got a server. He didn't even LOOK at us and he kept walking by. We sat at that table a good 15 minutes before anyone (a bartender) came over and asked if we wanted drinks. I kept telling my husband I wanted to leave but he preferred to stay and not let them run us off. My food came out and my chicken was dry, the broccoli was practically raw and I was over the whole experience. It wasn't worth the $71 we spent and I will likely NOT go back. Then, later in the evening, the bartender needed a straw for a to go order so she walked to our table, reached her arm over my husbands drinks and grabbed a straw and walked off. That was not cool at all. Our server, Jolisa that they finally just gave us to was awesome. She apologized for the service and our bad experience and was nice and friendly as she could be. We tipped her according to HER service but let her know we won't we back and how terrible our experience had been. The photo attached is the manager chit chatting with his friends after bringing them food to try without even asking if we enjoyed our meal.
