Let's start at the beginning of what was to become the most confusing and incompetent experience I have ever had at any Fast Food establishment.
I walk up to the counter and try to place my order only to be met with a blank stare by one of the employees. This stare down continued for a solid two minutes at which point I was finally able to begin the process of trading money for greasy food.
After finishing my order I stepped aside to receive the much awaited sustenance. This wait turned out to be much, much longer than I could have possibly anticipated. It was in this eternal damnation of a wait that some very interesting events occurred. Firstly another gentleman entered in a huff which turned out to be a valid reaction to his entire order being incorrect. That’s right not just one item but all of them. This incompetence was a bad omen for what was awaiting myself.
One employee clocked out at about this time and then proceeded to hang around and talk to the rest of the staff. This wouldn’t have been that bad if the staff were capable of a little bit of multi-tasking but alas this was not to be. At this point one of the staff started talking to the other gentleman who was sharing this fast food hell with me and apparently the two of them knew each other. I don’t like to listen to other people’s conversations but I couldn’t help but overhear the mention of the devil’s lettuce. Passing judgement on the activities of other people is not my job but I do have to say that at your job while waiting on customers is not the place for a heated discussion of the best spot to use an illicit substance. Apparently this fellow was known to the staff and then they still managed to mess up his entire order. They also couldn’t for the life of them figure out how to communicate to the kitchen how to correct this situation. This poor man had to repeat the not very complicated order a minimum of 12 times separated by minutes of inaction by the employees only to then be asked again what he ordered. Now let’s get back to the wait of a lifetime. Well into the 20 minute mark one of the employees realizes that I have been standing there for a lengthy amount of time and inquires of me what I was waiting for. I respond with my order at which time he repeats my order back to the kitchen at the top of his voice. At this point I feel I need to interject to describe just how orders were transmitted to the kitchen. After each item was ordered by the customer it was punched into the computer and then the order taker shouted it into the back just in case the entire restaurant didn’t know what was being ordered by each and every patron. Directly following the inquest into whether or not I was in the habit of standing around random burger joints just for hell of it, the employee who clocked out and was just chilling yelled in to the back, “Hey somebody get this guy his burger!” Don’t get me wrong I really liked his enthusiasm and throughout this entire affair he was the most helpful out of everybody there. I could sense the impending conclusion to this endeavor coming when another employee shouted to the kitchen once again to inquire where the food was and actually received a response of, “Oh! Here it is.” At which point they found that my order had been made many minutes ago and was sitting awaiting the inevitable heat death of the universe and getting colder every minute. They hurriedly shoved the food into a bag and inquired whether or not I wanted any sauces with my nuggets. I was too scared to answer in the affirmative for fear that something else would go wrong before I could escape. I grabbed my food and left post haste with a silent prayer for the other customers who had somehow managed to not realize what they had walked into until they had already ordered food and was too late. This included the one gentleman friend who was still waiting for them to figure out what he had ordered and how to remake...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would 😭 Only writing this review so people save the trip and don’t go like I did. I don’t usually write negative reviews because working in food is rough, but this chain was beyond a few workers struggling. There was at least 9-10 workers behind the counter, and the line was going out the door. Me and my boyfriend were at the front of the line waiting for our order to be taken for 15 minutes. They were all standing right in front of us too just staring at stuff. I was too shy to disturb them other than saying excuse me once, but many customers behind us yelled if this was a drive through only chain and asked what was going on. To which they ignored them and just gave them annoyed looks. It was like we weren’t even there, despite how many workers were right in front of us. And I mean right in front of us behind the cash register 😭. At least 5 people go out of line behind us frustrated, one said “I’m just going somewhere else,” and then me and my boyfriend left too. There was also like 10 people waiting for their food, and as I was waiting in line, at least 4 got their order completely wrong, and when they asked for it fixed the staff got annoyed with them. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the first time I’ve been to a fast food chain and been in disbelief, and I don’t hold a fast food place to high standards or anything since I get it isn’t that serious and they deal with a lot of unnecessarily nagging customers all the time.
This Wendy’s should either be shut down or have all the staff changed. I don’t know how any manager...
Read moreThis location is always either super busy or a tiny bit slow yet my order is always somehow mixed up, wrong, or literally handed to someone else when they have about 10+ staff at any given time so what’s the problem ? That being said I don’t expect too much, but was fairly disappointed on 2/26. I ordered food and they only handed me the drink and told me to “go up to the door and we’ll bring the food out” at 6:52 pm. So I pulled up behind another car that was sitting there, this was a large white suv which is totally different from my small black sedan. During that time someone comes out and hands my food to the suv waiting in front of me, this is relevant because I didn’t know that was my food and I moved up and waited 20 minutes for mine. My friend ends up going inside the building and tells the staff we’ve been waiting for our food until about 7:10 and they state “oh we already handed that food out” and when my friend says we didn’t get it they say “oh you weren’t there” so which is it? If you gave our food away you obviously thought I was there in a totally different car. And that doesn’t make sense because you already handed me a drink and by that logic would know what car I’m in already right? They end up remaking our food which is great and appreciated but the customer service needs work, don’t make stuff up about the customer being wrong when you’re the one who made a mistake just own up to it and talk to me like a person about it. Wendy’s isn’t gonna shut down over having to remake my $10 order that got handed to...
