Extra Space Storage — Local services in Delran Township

Two days ago, the day right before the snowstorm, I got my first storage unit at Life Storage and met Clarence Gilbert (an associate manager there). He was truly one of the friendliest, most informative and competent customer service employees I've come across in a very long time. My family and I used to always go to the storage company right next to Life Storage, and we were always met with horrible customer service, so many hidden fees and false advertisement about deals so I decided on a whim to go to Life Storage instead. I couldn't have made a better choice. My family and I had to pull an emergency move and have our entire apartment moved into a space that same night, and we were extremely stressed and worried about the incoming storm. Clarence immediately took away my anxiety, told me about the free moving box-truck that comes with the space and was willing to help in any way possible. That free moving truck literally saved us. I was in disbelief that this company even offered a free moving box-truck. I had seen the advertisement on their website and just assumed it was another falsely advertised amenity from a storage company that had a hidden fee and wasn't going to be free at all, but it was exactly as advertised. A completely free moving truck to help you move your belongings in a very easy way. The only thing necessary is a deposit that you get back as soon as you return the truck in the same condition it was when you took it, which is totally reasonable so people can't just go joy-riding around in it or messing it up because it is in top shape. We were able to move our entire apartment in ONE trip. That saved us so much time, energy and most importantly sanity (lol). Anyone who has moved more than once and has a lot of knickknacks and furniture, knows it can be the most stressful, horrible experience in life. Life Storage, and Clarence specifically, took that all away and I can honestly say this is the best storage company I have ever been to, and I have been to about 4 of the "big-name" storage companies before coming here. Did I even mention that the 2nd month is totally free as well? So I dont owe a dime until May 1st. I just want to personally thank you Clarence for helping me and my family turn a nightmare into an easy, smooth experience. It means so much more than you know. The staff here is very kind and helpful. The facility is beautiful! The unit I got was insulated, indoors, has great lighting, and temperature controlled. I feel very secure at this building. The only downside is that the online price only lasts for a month or two and then goes back to the original price. Don’t forget to mention the online price otherwise they will not honor it! There is a monthly insurance fee and a one time fee if you do the online price as well. Pricey for original pricing but so far it is worth it.

UPDATE:

They increased my rate over $100 extra a month. Renter be aware! I was paying $130 and now they want $240 a month. I’m still staying, but this is a wild increase. Please make sure you know what you’re paying for because they won’t even tell you how much it is going to increase they just do it and inform you the month before. I only paid 2 months and now I’m paying $100 extra.

The manager Dawn reached out to me, and she helped get the price reduced to a responsible amount. Now I’m only paying $182 instead of the $240. She was very nice and understanding. I appreciate the fact that they take customer concerns important and act fast on them....
