This used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area but my experience on March 9th with the customer service has completely changed my view and I will not be coming back here. On the 9th it was my fathers 60th birthday. my family and I decided to surprise him by bringing him here because he loves Mexican food. Prior to my mom and dad arriving I spoke with the gentlemen at the front host desk and explained to them it was a special occasion (my fathers birthday) and I asked them if they could do anything special for him. They told me that they normally bring out a dessert and sing the client happy birthday. This was what we were all expecting to happen. We completed our dinner, the waiter came and gave us the check, I tried to look for the front desk clerk without making it noticeable to my dad since it was supposed to be a surprise. No one ever came to our table to sing him happy birthday or with a dessert. And to make the experience worse, the table behind us had a person who was also celebrating a birthday and they did come out for them and sang and gave them the dessert. My dad looked back and said, "that's nice, I wish they would have done that for me" my heart broke. I felt terrible and very angry at the front desk hosts for failing to communicate this to our waiter or to whoever needed to know of this request. When we left I asked the names of the hosts but only one was there. He said his name was Santiago but that the host i had spoken to and who had guaranteed me that they would do this was named Domingo. I am extremely disappointed and I will never be coming back to do business here because of the lack of service especially on such an important occasion for my dad. I give them one star because the food is good but the service I experienced and how they made my family and I feel after this incident left a bad taste. I would have expected at least an apology but no one was willing to come speak with me. If your doing a special occasion for a birthday here please celebrate prior or do not come here expecting...
Read moreSo I have ate at this restaurant consistently for over 4 years. For lunch I always get food here for the office staff. Dinner times my husband and my children and I come here. Sometimes my mother in law, Prima and family members come here. So when my daughter was in the Delray Beach parade. I decided to take my other daughters here to eat until the parade started. However, during our time inside, my car was hit hard in the front driver side near the bumper and wheel. I had backed into my parking spot. Which was also in front of the restaurant near the entrance. The car was a white car, my car is black and the paint was all over it. At the time upon leaving the restaurant, the car beside me was a black suv Lexus I still checked the front bumper nothing was there. I went inside the establishment to find out if the camera faces my car. Which there was one facing my vehicle outside. The host asked me to wait for the manager and the manager took about 45 minutes to come out when she came out she said I don’t see a hit you can just call the police. It will take days to go through our video footage. I stated I did. She walked off. I have now officially boycotted this restaurant. My employees no longer eat there, none of my family or friends go there. I know it will make no difference. However the fact that I have spent so much at this place and the only thing I wanted to know if the camera faces my vehicle and to get that response is absolutely unbelievable. I loved this place, the food, the service. When something actually happens you turn your back and state call the police which I did. Then state well it will take time to go through video footage. No ma’m it does not! Due to this women taking 45 minutes and all this issue, I was late to my daughter and the parade. I spoke to the police officer, which is a good friend of mine. We handled it. I just could not believe the service I got after...
Read moreLa Bamba restaurant has been in business for many years and it is a wonderful and established restaurant in South Florida. It's location is very convenient as well as parking is concerned. The food and drink is especially great. Try the passion fruit margaritas! As to what to order from their extensive menu, try the beef fajitas, they are a must. The burritos are also a must. And don't forget to GUAC! The salsa is always good here along with the chips. However, if you order refried beans, don't get the refried bean dish which is a plate with like 7 chips with beandip already on them arranged in a circle with chopped lettuce and jalapenos in the center! Weird! Instead order what you would expect as far as refried beans and chips is concerned, a bowl of refried beans and a basket of chips which is what most restaurants do and what you would expect! Everything arrived promptly and was delicious. We have visited this restaurant many times over the years. If it's someone's birthday, you get a free vanilla ice cream and you get to wear a big Mexican hat while a lot of the staff sings you happy birthday! It wasn't our birthday but another table near by. It was fun to watch and sing along though! Overall we recommend this restaurant to the whole family! Great for big parties too! P. S. If you have a "service animal" leave it home, they are very strict on that see entrance photo of the big...
