I wanted to get chicken palm with the fried chicken instead of the chicken cutlet because they offer a fried chicken with avocado, mayo and some other stuff on it so I asked for the fried chicken with the marinara and mozzarella and so forth and I told her I understood I would be paying for the Chicken palm price which was fine, then she notified me that it was chicken cutlet also, which made no sense to me as the one with the avocado and mayo and whatever other toppings it stated said it was fried chicken, which in other restaurants fried chicken is fried chicken like in KFC just without the bones, the only other way I know how to explain it. When I go to Galuppi‘s, they have some real good sandwiches and they know how to make a real good fried chicken sandwich. They do not use chicken cutlets for their fried chicken sandwiches and call it fried chicken. If you’re gonna say it’s a fried chicken sandwich. It should be a fried chicken sandwich and not a chicken cutlet. I think that is false advertisement and misleading your customers. Just saying. Went to top it all off the waitress I think is a liar. I bring in a Zevia which uses an actual sugar from plants, which I have done in the past and never had a problem here because I am a regular customer and was never told I can do any different and she told me that is not allowed. I said, I was never told that before, she walked away and came back and said she just talked to the manager and said well from now on make sure it don’t happen as the manager had said so also. Well, when I had asked about the chicken, I asked to speak to the manager to see why it was like that in the menu and she said oh I am the manager, I said, I thought you want to speak to the manager earlier? She said oh that was the assistant manager, I said well can I speak to them? she said oh they’re not here. I spoke to them on the phone. She said I am the manager you can talk to me. I said well like I told you I don’t understand about why the chicken sandwich says it’s fried chicken if it’s chicken cutlet when the other one states chicken cutlet and this one states fried chicken. She said you could talk to the kitchen manager, which is the chef so I did so and he understood where I was coming from, but didn’t understand why it was like that in the menu either. She’s just funny how her story had changed a few different times when it came to speaking into a manager. I’m glad I never had this problem in the past here, usually the employees are...
Read moreOrdered 2 pizzas for pick up. One Burrata Bout It and One Margarita, both gluten-free. Got a text saying the pizzas were ready at 5:22 and arrived a few mins after that to find out the pizzas weren't ready. After another 15 minutes, they were ready. My BF picked them up and didn't realize they gave us the wrong pizza until he got home. They gave us the Red, White and Green instead of the Burrata Bout It. Even if he noticed it was wrong, it would have taken another 20 mins or more for the right pizza, which would have mlbeen more than an hour from when i ordered. Against my better judgement after reading the reviews from others with the same complaints, I gave this place try cause we live in the neighborhood and it's hard to find good pizza, especially gluten-free. This gluten free was also not good, edible but not great. (Pizza Rox has the BEST! They use Caputo gluten free flour.) Maybe the regular dough is better. Anyway, after the wait for the pizza and ending up with something completely different than what we ordered, I would not recommend this place. Or if you are feeling generous, give them more time to try to figure out how to run the kitchen properly. I did call to complain about the incorrect order, and the manager said he would give me a gift certificate to make it right. It was nice of him to try and make it right, but I am not sure we will be going back anytime soon? UPDATE: The manager never emailed the gift certificate as he said he would for giving us the...
Read moreExpected more after the reviews on here and Facebook... what i got was severely disappointing... we went for the happy hour, and the first disappointment started with the prices of the drinks... remember this is not a restaurant on Atlantic Avenue so charging $6 for a happy hour New Amsterdam well vodka is quite disappointing in addition to $4 Miller Lite draft, I can go to Duffy's any time and get 1 for less... secondly the service really was lacking and let me tell you 3/4 of the restaurant was empty but yet the bartender was completely occupied on the phone or running around doing something else that a manager had to step in and help us. I saw there were quite a few employees standing around doing nothing, though. We did decide on the HH pepperoni pizza, which we added the caramelized onions, which costs an extra $2, and I also opted to try the appetizer Caesar salad. The pizza was okay but had a very soft bottom, and as most people would say, a lot of flop. The Caesar was inedible, and I was even served the ends of the Romaine that you can't even eat as is shown in my pictures. They even use Speedy dry parmesan cheese it is actually disgusting, I can buy that myself at Publix. Needless to say I don't think we'll be going back and to think they want to expand even more, I think they'll need to fix a few issues if they ever are going to get the business they want to survive...
