Well after the usual stellar grand opening with the crack A team this west delray location at 4920 Atlantic Ave has skipped over the slow but acceptable B team and gone right to 'avoid at all cost'. Winning the award for 1st ever outright refusal to customize my drink, "Phil, the the too busy to be bothered (with nobody in line) Cashier, not only refused to let me show him how much hot water I prefer (" no I don't do that ") he also refused to convey the info to the Barista (who accommodated with apology for his coworkers untenable attitude). Now that trained managers are offsite the Phil standard is the regular according to the 2 outdoor tables we commiserated with. Add to this the train of people (5 to 6) returning their online pickup orders. Inexplicable given the hour. 1130 am well after morning rush so not mistakes in the frenzy of rush hour. Guessing this location hasn't performed per projections so the C Team remains until they close this location. I'll head to the independent espresso bar nearby after gym from now on. While I certainly realize this is far from a serious problem, as a former espresso retailer for 20 years I know what I'm looking at and Sbux should start...
Read moreI wasn’t going to write a review, because I come here often and so far everyone is nice and my drinks have been good. However, today is Red Cup day, and I went here to get two drinks so I could get two red cups for my boyfriend and I. I ordered the Sugar Cookie Latte and the Apple Crisp Macchiato, but when I was done paying, the employee only handed me one. I asked them since I bought two, do I get two? And they said it was per “holiday” drink, which I already knew and that’s why I ordered those drinks. They even asked another employee and both of them said the Apple Crisp Macchiato doesn’t count. After I left, I texted my friend who worked at Starbucks for years and she said that the Apple Crisp definitely counts. Then I looked it up, because many people participate in Red Cup day and the qualifying beverages are all over the internet. The apple crisp macchiato is on every single list and was confirmed by a recent starbucks employee. I know this is a brand new Starbucks, but I am a little disappointed with the...
Read moreLiterally the worst Starbucks I have ever been to and I’m a regular customer but not at this location. Waited over 20 minutes for an iced coffee. Food came out 10 minutes before. Everyone in the drive thru was getting served before the people in the store. I was in a rush and asked to cancel for which I was told they were unable to do so. (Never been told this before)Some girl who may have been the manager was condescending to the three of us waiting. When I finally got my coffee, no one called out who it was for. It was just placed on the counter. I had to ask for a straw because one was not given and none were out and available and the coffee was DISGUSTING! It was all milk. It wasn’t filled to the top and it was Undrinkable. It’s not like it was even crowded. Inside was pretty empty. When this happens in NY would you believe the staff is actually nicer. They even will offer you a gift card for having to wait too long. I would never come back here. They definitely need...
