🎉Oh my goodness! Where do I even start? This place is always buzzing whenever we cruise by! If you think about it, the food must be a flavor explosion! So, why that name? I dove into the mystery of "THE OFFICE," and guess what? It’s a Modern American Gastro Pub. Say what?! Basically, it’s a cozy hangout where food and drinks share the spotlight—not quite a bar, not quite a restaurant, but a haven for high-quality grub! The Office is a chill-meets-chic spot that welcomes beer aficionados, wine snobs, picky eaters, and food lovers alike. A true neighborhood gem! How cool is that? Today, fortune favored us as we walked right in—an unusual feast for such a hot spot! The atmosphere was buzzing with holiday spirit and decked out in festive red! If I had to sum up the vibe, I’d say it's friendly and laid-back. Now, the food! It’s like brunch on a plate, perfect for ordering a smorgasbord of deliciousness! Everything tasted fantastic, though the fries turned into cold little sad potatoes,🤭 thanks to the chilly weather. Ahhh! Still, they were tasty! (whoopppps! im now a picky eater. Lol) In my humble opinion, the golden hour to visit this fun place is during Happy Hour, which kicks off at 3 PM. It’s the sweet spot before the rush hits! And the prices? Whoa, you’ll feel like you’ve hit the jackpot during Happy Hour—total dream vibes! Just give The Office a ring for the scoop. The place was presentable, and our server was a superstar, super attentive to our whims. Satisfied on goodies at The Office, we took a merry stroll around the corner of 2nd Avenue and Atlantic, checking out all the charming shops nearby. So many fun things to do, like bowling and mini-golfing! I’m definitely coming back with the family and ordering double of our...
Read moreFood and service very subpar for the location. The menu was nonsensical and didn't have a particular theme of food, offering abstract foods such as pretzels and whole fish entres on the same page as burgers and fries .... Nashville chicken sandwich was soggy and unappetizing, the chicken was previously frozen and drowned in a sauce that was overly saturated with cumin causing the bread to form a soupy mess. Associate of mine was served a whole snapper which seemed to have been battered and deep fried whole, careful attention was not given to the cooking of this fish as it was RAW near the bones. Raw fish as such can cause severe food poisoning if not thoroughly cooked. It could have been easily avoided if the kitchen staff would have used a probe thermometer or simply fileted the fish. It was served with a side of instant rice... This resturant really fell short of expectation given its location. They really should simplify their menus and figure out what kind of resturant the want to be, a burger joint or high end... because their atmosphere doesn't match their food. I would imagine 85% or more of their revenue is generated from alcohol sales given the floor plan as the bar takes up 1/3 of the restutant. Which is fine, but if they want to remain a competitor as a resturant on the ave and not just a block bar people go for a quick drink than they need to step up their game big time! As it stands I won't be returning and will take my buisness elsewhere. I hope they change because they have an excellent location and the potential to be a premier resturant on the Ave and earn twice the revenue if they would just invest in a rework of their...
Read moreWhat a HORRIBLE and TERRIBLE experience. The blonde hostess working Thursday night 3/28 was extremely rude and needs to be trained. She’s the first face guests see and where the experience begins and she was rude. She basically told me and my family to find another restaurant to eat when I approached her to sit 7 of us. I tried reserving on OpenTable but it stated you can reserve only up to 6 guest. I explained it to her and she rudely said “you should have called, I can’t sit you down”. I walked into the restaurant and there were plenty of open tables so I found a manager. He was nice and apologized and told me he would sit us down once he cleaned up some open tables. At 9pm he walked up to the hostess and said the tables were ready. I literally stood there for 15 min until I asked for the manager again and she said "I can sit you now". Why she didn't sit us down once the table was ready is beyond me.
Then comes the service and food. I am not sure which was colder. We waited 25 minutes for our drinks and eventually had to flag down another server to help us with our drinks. 45 min later the food finally came out and it was all cold. The sliders were hard and burnt to a crisp, the wings tasted good but were cold, the blackened Mahi tacos were basically frozen, the kids pasta was also hard and cold, they could have made a pasta salad with how cold it was. I should have asked for the manager but by then the damage was done. We visit Delray Beach a lot and to have this experience was very disappointed and upsetting. There are plenty of options to choose from in the area and this definitely won't be one we will visit...
