We went for opening night friends and family and again 4 days later. Without question it was an unforgettable culinary experience at Roka Hula
From the moment we stepped into Roka Hula, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance was effortlessly cool—laid-back island vibes blended with upscale, tropical sophistication. Soft lighting, beautiful cherry blossoms, cool tiki totems and the distant sound of music created the perfect setting for an extraordinary night.
We were warmly greeted by the hosts and management staff as we entered and quickly seated at an outdoor table. The service throughout the evening was impeccable by Jadeleigh, she was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. I loved that I could ask her any question and she knew the answer. Each and every person to walk by welcomed us and offered to assist with anything we needed. Not only Jadeleigh but also Jayne and Kennon came by to check in, deliver our food and refill our water. Managers Mike and Diego were also very attentive and checked in to ensure our dining experience was perfect!
Now, the food… wow. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece. The Hamachi Tiradita was the perfect starter—fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. The spicy tuna roll and salmon roll melted in our mouths and were EXTREMELY fresh, and the short rib gyoza were hands-down the best we’ve ever had. Each plate was beautifully presented and perfectly portioned, allowing us to try a bit of everything.
The cocktails were equally impressive. The Pina Punch was a tropical dream, and the El Narco was dangerously smooth. Don’t skip dessert— the Affogato was a flavorful and refreshing finish to an already unforgettable meal.
Roka Hula isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience. Perfect for a date night, celebration, or when you simply want to treat yourself to something extraordinary. We’ll absolutely be...
Read moreWhat an absolute gem of a spot in Delray Beach! I stumbled upon Roka Hula on a whim, and it turned out to be the highlight of my weekend. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was electric—cozy yet upscale, with that perfect Japanese fusion energy that makes you feel like you’re in a hidden Tokyo izakaya, but with South Florida flair. Let’s talk food first, because oh man, it’s next-level. The Wagyu dumplings? Pure heaven in a bite—tender, melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu wrapped in delicate wrappers, seared to crispy perfection and drizzled with a umami-packed ponzu sauce. I could’ve eaten a dozen orders. And don’t even get me started on the pork belly fried rice—it’s out of this world! Crispy edges on the pork belly, fluffy rice infused with savory soy and hints of garlic, topped with a fried egg that oozes just right. Every forkful was a flavor explosion; it’s the kind of dish that has you scraping the plate clean and eyeing your date’s portion. The drinks sealed the deal for me. Their Old Fashioned is a smoky, citrusy masterpiece—balanced to perfection with just the right kick. But the real star? The Mi & Yu, a Japanese whiskey sour that’s pure silk. That smooth, oaky Japanese whiskey mixed with fresh lemon and a touch of egg white for that velvety foam—it’s sophisticated, refreshing, and dangerously easy to sip. Pro tip: Order it on the rocks for an extra chill factor. Shoutout to our server, Frank—congratulations on being the best part of the night! He was incredibly attentive without hovering, cracking just the right jokes to keep things fun, and his recommendations (like that Mi & Yu) were spot-on. He made us feel like regulars on our first visit. If you’re in Delray and craving inventive Japanese eats with top-tier service, Roka Huka is a must. I’ll be back next week—five stars aren’t enough!...

Wow. Delray Delight! More like Delight Delivered.
When I first walked up to Roka Huka, I was tempted to turn around. The outdoor seating was quiet—completely empty. Meanwhile, the restaurant next door was buzzing with energy, its patio full of laughter and conversation. For a moment, I considered switching.
But I’m so glad I didn’t.
As soon as I opened the door, I walked into a packed house. The bar was full—every seat taken—and the energy was electric. Guests were smiling, drinks in hand, clearly enjoying themselves. I pivoted and asked for a table instead. Another great decision.
I started with the Pork Soup Dumplings: Tonkotsu Ramen Broth, Soy Pearls, Shiro Dashi. Soft, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
Next up, I spotted something that caught my eye—the Wagyu Udon Noodles: Wok-Charred Sweet Peppers, Baby Corn, Snap Peas, Spicy Tosazu Demi, Crispy Garlic. Another fantastic choice. Every bite was full of rich, bold flavor and texture.
What’s even more impressive? They haven’t even had their grand opening yet. The place runs like a well-oiled machine, clearly staffed with seasoned professionals.
Special thanks to Emily, a warm and knowledgeable server who truly made the night memorable. And shoutout to Diego, who took the time to stop by and share the story behind this exciting new restaurant.
If you’re looking for something new, lively, and absolutely delicious—make your reservation now. Because once the word gets out, this spot is going to blow up.
