The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Delta Charter Township

I love this place! I went here 1 day after my parents had ordered Turkey that tasted like ham for Christmas. It was amazing so I had to go in and check it out for myself. My husband and I both were unsure what to get as it was our first time there we went for lunch the staff was so helpful and asked us lots of questions to direct us in the perfect for each of us. I ended up with the Turkey bacon sandwich and my husband ended up getting ham and swiss cheese sandwich. We both got different types of soups. All the food was generous portions and very tasty. We ate in the restaurant (it wasn’t busy it was between lunch and dinner rush) as we finished up our lunch, the owner came over and asked us how we liked it. And we had told him our experience he than offered us a fresh from the oven cookie this also very yummy! We talked about the Turkey that tasted like ham and so much more. He was so helpful I told him I was going to purchase some ham for the potato soup that I was going to make from scratch latter that night. He could have mad a lot of money there but instead he went thew step by step instructions as to how to use a cheap ham bone (that they sell there) for potato soup. He even told me if I had any issues to call him he could walk me there the process. My soup hasn’t ever been the same again. Not sure why the staff gets mad about simple requests, but I ordered a travers club without ham. The girl asked if I wanted to change my sandwich to a turkey bacon ranch club without the ranch. I said yes since she was already irritated, and asked if she could put the same cheese and condiments on my sandwich as the tavern club, instead of those on the ranch club (hence basically what I ordered in the first place that irritated her so much). Because of this request she was further annoyed with me, and when I got home to eat my sandwich my sandwich was dripping in honey mustard. And because the sauce is sticky, and I didn't eat at the shop, there was no wiping off the honey mustard. I'm going to write a review on yelp so that I can add pictures. I am a long time customer and have always appreciated the customer service. Yesterday I had called to reserve one of their delicious glazed honey baked hams and irresistible glazed sliced turkey. I'd allowed myself 30 minutes for the normally 20 minute drive however, did not anticipate an accident on the expressway an had to alter my route which would make my eta very close to their 6:00 closing.
