This store is sad. There are never any carts inside the store, so I have started to take one in from the parking lot. Combined with the forced self-checkout, I'm basically working there for free while they keep the extra profits.
Oh, and don't bother looking for a hand basket either. I have no idea where they go, but they're never where anyone can actually use them. Carry your stuff in your arms and you'll be fine.
The employees, while generally nice, don't give a damn about customers; they stand around in groups chatting in an aisle and don't move for customers, workers in breaks will cut in line to pay. I once saw an employee pick up a bunch of greens off the floor and put them right back on the shelf. When I asked someone about this, they said, "well, everyone does that." I'm not sure what health codes apply to grocery stores, but if that happened in a restaurant they'd be shut down.
Most of this is a culture thing starting from the top down. I haven't experienced this at other stores, so it has to be the store's general manager that ought to either go to training or get canned... And this is reenforced by one time the GM (I know because his picture is on the wall in the entrance) walked out of the office right in front of me and stopped to look at his phone. Literally RIGHT in front of me as I was making my way out. Wow.
Unfortunately, this is the most reasonable store for me to get to. I am two steps away from divorcing Meijer and going out of my way to support Kroger. Best of luck,...
Read moreNot enough Amigos capitalize that not enough Amigos I am tired of waiting up to 30 to 45 minutes at times rarely is there one immediately available there is at least 20 handicap parking spots and 8 Amigos some of which need charging or at time's some of them need repairing is the number of handicap parking spots determined by law is that why there is such a discrepancy Plus there is no seating available to wait for one so while there is parking most of the time for handicapped people we are expected to stand and wait for a amigo get real other stores in the area have at least 8 available they are grocery stores not a Superstore I like to go to Meijer because it's One-Stop shopping but since there is usually await for a amigo I have been going to other stores even when prices might be slightly higher and I'm a penny pincher most handicapped people that I have talked to complain about this the greeters security guards hear this all the time and frequently have to go to the other end to get one for a customer this means they are not able to perform their security job for a few minutes the greeter security guards are very helpful and pleasant about this they repeatedly tell me they have told the managers I have demanded that the manager be called when I've had to wait more than 20 minutes apparently they do not care about handicapped people or senior citizens because although I and many others have complained for years the situation has not changed...
Read moreI am posting this review because it's something I think about that happened. And I think about it all the time.
I was in the store maybe 45 minutes before close. As I'm starting to check out, I saw this beautiful rug that I wanted and just happened to be on sale. The sale price was about 50% off. When I took it to the register, Sean L was the person to help me.
It wasn't ringing up as the sale prize, so I informed him, and he told me that he can only take $5 off even though it was 50% off on the marked sign so He tells me he doesn't know that there is a price discount and There was no way of him to tell the discount and that he was only gonna mark it down by five dollars, which means I would have actually paid more, then what the actual price was ? I assume he wanted to go home and didn't want to do any extra work.
So he told me to go and take a picture of the sign, because that's the only way of him knowing, now I don't know about you but when I'm shopping in a store. I'm not thinking before I get to the register to take pictures of sale signs because it might ring up differently or hasn't registered in the system.
He's basically telling me to go do his job. It was very unpleasant, very agitating, and unprofessional. I guess that's what you call a good scam. Or maybe a good tip for the store.
Because had I not walked back there and took a picture of the sign, I would have had to pay way more. The one way was marked to be I...
