Los Tres Amigos Lansing — Restaurant in Delta Charter Township

Don’t get me wrong, Los Tres has great food. I drove three hours because I wanted their nachos. But the service today was the worst service I’ve ever had. Or didn’t have I guess. Our waiter came over while my husband was in the bathroom and gave us our chips and asked what we would like to drink. I said water for both and he made a face. Idk if he expected us to order drinks, but I’m pregnant and my husband didn’t want a drink bc he was driving. After that, our server never came back to our table. He had maybe 3 other tables at most. Never brought our water. Eventually a female server or manager (not sure) came over and asked if we got our drinks. I said we ordered water and never got it. She came back with the water. About 15 min later we placed our order with her after she asked if the other server had taken our order. Throughout the whole meal that’s how it went. She would check if he had done his job and when he hadn’t, she would do it for him. The whole time he was avoiding our table, and we could see him helping other tables. (3 at most). Finally the bill comes. I put my card on the receipt and wait 10 minutes for it to be picked up. She never came by, and the guy made eye contact with me multiple times and ignored me. Even went over to an empty table to clean instead and went toward the kitchen where he stopped for a bit to watch the tv!!! Finally I saw someone go behind the bar so I asked him to ring us up (This was the only employee we saw after 2 min had passed). He gave the bill to that waiter and the guy brought back my card with the card machine and I grabbed the machine to put my card in and he walked away AGAIN. I left a 20% tip because I’m not a horrible person, but I’m furious and as much as I love los tres’ food, it’s not worth the horrible service I received and the three hour drive I had to make. Please make your staff treat people with respect!

UPDATE: three months later and they still have not contacted me to resolve this issue but they made sure to post publicly that they would be contacting me.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve had Los Tres. A few years. I personally really like Tacos é Mas! Maybe I’m just really used to their food, so anything else taste wierd to me! Idk, but I just didn’t care for it. I gave them 2 stars because my daughter liked her enchiladas!

My daughter really wanted their enchiladas. She went recently with her friends, and really liked them. So we placed an order on Door Dash.

I didn’t like the ground beef in the tacos. It was kinda spicy, and had a very strong cumin flavor! And it was very saucy, and oily. I got hard shell tacos. The lettuce was soggy as hell, no tomatoes, and some white shredded cheese that had kinda melted into a huge chunk. BUT they did send a container with lettuce, sour cream, & a slice of tomato! 🤨 So I diced up the tomato, and put it on my & my sons tacos. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not going to go into how much they got wrong, or what was missing, and why exactly it’s so frustrating. W. Saginaw wouldn’t answer the phone. I had a couple questions, but they didn’t answer my 3 calls, about 10 rings each time. Holt also would not answer any of my calls! Mason answered, but the woman apparently didn’t speak English! I asked her if they had the same menu as the W. Saginaw location. Her answer was “We are in a Mason”! This moment I heard her accent, and realized she may not speak English very well, so i slowed down my speech, and simplified my question. She answers me again, “Los Tres Amigos, Mason”. We decided to stay local on New Year's Eve. Stop at Los Tres Amigos. We were set down , waited 20 min for a waitress to come to the table. Look at a chips and salsa. The salsa is like something out of a can. We ask for our drinks. I ask for a martini and the girl came back about 20 minutes later and told me that I should order something else because the bartender told her that they weren't really good. So I said okay. How about a mojito so she brought back about another 20 minutes later. It was so full of mint. It was the worst drink of ever tasted. She took it back to the bar. We watched them laugh at it and then the girl took a straw and put it in and tasted the drink which I thought was pretty disgusting myself. My dates drink was a margarita and it was half full. It was good but what for we paid for it. Two of his drinks were half full. I had ordered nachos told her to not add the beans to the nachos put the beans on the side after she brought our meals to us. She said oh I told him not to put the beans on but they did it. Anyways. Can we just give you extra beans on the side? I thought okay. I want us to be able to eat together so I accepted it at the time. The nachos were nothing but beans and I just strictly ask her.
