World Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Delta Charter Township

This place is normally great and everything but today was the worst service ever.

My server was not very attentive to my needs.

Every time when one of my guests or I needed something, we had to get up walk around the restaurant to find our server & our server would be hiding in corners or get up & leave & hide somewhere else when he sees us coming.

We find that very rude & disrespectful for paying customers.

I would normally leave a great tip for my waiter or waitress, but after today's service, I really didn't want to leave anything, but I would have felt bad, so I left them a little something.

He is lucky that I left anything for him.

Next time, I won't be so generous.

Another thing that bothered me about tonight's service was how the workers keep coming around harassing my guests & myself.

I always seem to have this issue, so I decided to move to another location in the restaurant to get a different waiter or waitress.

We both have a disability/handicap & we would consider some appreciation as regular customers who come to dine in there several times throughout the month.

When we come in, we pay for ourselves, we take our seats, we have conversations, we go get our food, we keep to ourselves, and then we leave.

As continuing paying customers, we ask some respect & courtesy.

Another thing that bothers me is how they only serve their fried chicken around lunchtime.

I know that their fried chicken is a popular food item by many of their customers.

They should really consider & think about keeping it on the buffet throughout dinner time as well.

There are always people who pile up in the line just to get their fried chicken.

Most of the time their is not enough fried chicken to where everyone can get served.

They should really consider serving real mashed potatoes, not the kind that they have been serving.

They really need to be considering having the Lansing Gathering Area open to everyone, not just specific people.

It should be available there for all customers who are there on a first come first served basis but if they're going to do reservations, they shouldn't have a limit of how many people that is needed in order to do a reservation.

They have a setup of multiple tables for a large party, but they also have a single table setup available that should be available for a couple to use.

I personally like the room because of privacy & no one can hear our conversation. We are all loud talkers, so basically, the whole restaurant can hear our conversations.

Another thing that bothers me is why they keep increasing the price for lunch?

They still haven't added the steak back to their menu.

I used to pay $12.66, then the price increased to $13.40 & now, once again, the price increased to $14.35

Each time the price that I pay increases, the price for senior citizens also increases.

This price is for your meal & drinks...

World buffet right here in Delta Township Lansing is one of my favorite places. I have patronized this buffet restaurant for almost 20 years at its various locations here in Delta. I can always count on it for a clean, bright environment with lots of people getting good value for their dining dollar.

It is essentially an Asian buffet with a seafood flavor. It opens before the lunch hour each day. Dinner menu starts every day at 3:30 or 4. That's when additional seafood such as salmon, mussels, a variety of shrimps as well as fruits de mer are added to the buffet serving trays. :-)

The food is well-prepared and is generally well maintained throughout the day. This place is especially busy on weekends, of course, and sometimes on Saturday or Sunday you may have to wait a few minutes to get through the check in line. World buffet also provides for takeout dining at a per pound price.

One aspect of the World buffet that I just recently began to enjoy was the fact that they have have a hibachi styled grill where you can choose from a wide or variety of ingredients including chicken, scallops, beef and pork and Asian vegetables. Pick what you want, throw in a couple of eggs, and leave it with the hibachi grill Master for about 5 or 10 minutes and you have a truly custom made plate of food cooked to your preference, a warm and fresh treat! The grill service is at no additional charge beyond the regular buffet admission rate, but most of the patrons are only too happy to throw in a couple of bucks into the tip jar for the chefs. They also have some sushi items available as a part of their set up.

Generally the prices here are very competitive and reasonable. The dinner admission price is approximately 10 or $11 at this time and well worth it. They have a great salad bar with fresh fruits also.

They are located only a block or two from the Lansing Mall off of West Saginaw highway here in Delta. It's well worth the short trip out here. They're open most holidays, and they usually stay open till 9 p.m. or slightly later.

They serve a very diverse clientele and have patrons of all ethnic backgrounds and nationalities coming here to enjoy the food. The clients generally get along well in a peaceful dining environment. The wait staff is friendly and attentive.

It is a buffet restaurant - the variety of food are pretty good. Although I have been to buffet restaurants that have more variety, the range of choices are quite good. From salad to main dishes to dessert. Usually, with buffet restaurants, only water is included, but this place will include unsweetened iced tea. Which is pretty good for value. For lunch, there is no line to wait, it is pay first before seated, which I like better, because I don't have to get my wallet all greasy, if it is a pay after... The food are very fresh, the cold stuff are cold, and the hot stuff hot; and they continually refill the food, before it gets too low. Which is also very good, because I have been to buffet restaurants that ran out of a certain food, and have to wait for them to refill it, and some patrons would stood there and wait for it, so by the time I saw that the coast is clear, and got up to get the food, it was already empty again. Which gets pretty frustrating, because they have to know that it's empty, then, cook the dish, them, have the time to refill the bin. So, I would have no chance to try that dish. As the name of the place stated, this buffet restaurant has asian/Chinese foods, as well as American foods, so, it provides a really good range of flavors. The dessert ranged from fresh fruits to sweets, to soft-serve ice cream. It is a soft serve ice cream machine that one dispenses for vanilla, or chocolate, or a 50/50... All in all, it was a very enjoyable...
