Crab & Shell Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in Denver

Prepare for the longest review you may ever see online & for good reasons only! I truly am blown away by how amazing this business is. My wife & i live in the springs but came to denver for pride back in june, while looking around for good seafood, cajun crab & shell immediately caught my eye. We came in to a beautiful atmosphere & great people, a young server, couldn’t be older than 21-23 took care of us & treated us with such kindness & love! we got an amazing combo to share & had some left over to take home for only $80 for the two of us! my heart was won over!! however this is not the first time i found a great restaurant & gotten my heartbroken but my heart & brain would NOT stop thinking about it after coming home to the springs, 1 hour & a half drive from cravings can turn anyone insane. My wife & i bought tickets for red rocks back in september & knew we HAD to go back before the concert so that’s exactly what we did!! we came in & was sweetly taken care of by lin, & a nice gentleman greg kept checking in on us! we had a little food left over & lin offered to get us a container to which we said “no thank you! we’re going to a concert after this!” she took immediate interest in our plans & asked which amphitheater we were going to. we shared our details with her & she wished us a good concert! based off of how amazing everything was & her service we tipped her $20 on $90 which doesn’t seem like a lot right?? just 22%! however when we woke up the next morning & decided we had to get some to take home to the springs, lin was so beyond grateful for us & so happy we came back. both her & greg were there & greeted us with amazing smiles & asked all about our concert. greg was awesome & switched the tvs for us so we could see spongebob from where we were sitting. eating so much seafood in 24 hours can be a lot so we barely made a hole in our boil, we asked greg if there was a way we could reheat it for dinner when we went home. he gave us amazing instructions & packaged it perfectly like it was never eaten. lin told us she was leaving for a while but she couldn’t wait to see us come back & see her! we truly cannot wait to come back & see them again soon! thank you so so so so...

The best place for Cajun boil! We are so happy we found this place ! We have been to other “big name” places like Joe’s Crab Shack and others. We fell in love with Crab & Shell because we ordered “the party of 2” on the menu and they brought it out in a tray instead of bags . We loved that all the sauce was in the tray ( we had the house blend in spicy) instead of in small plastic cups. My family loves garlic and it had the perfect amount of garlic in the sauce . We love the sauce in the tray because we can really get a large scoop with every bite comfortably. The “spicy “ level was perfect . We do love really spicy but this was perfect for us . We ordered the party of 2, 3 more corn on the cobs, 2 eggs, an order of Buffalo wings and fries. Family friendly , parking was a bit difficult to find. We were stuffed and we took what was left over in the tray. Staff was very kind and the atmosphere was great! We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday the day before Easter and it wasn’t too busy. This hole in the wall place is amazing! Tonight we walked in just check it out and ended up ordering some onions rings, it come with ranch and that ranch is fire! We also got calamari and as a chef myself I know how easy it is to over cook and under season so I appreciate how amazing this calamari was!!!!

Our main course was the party for 2! We added eggs and lemon pepper hot sauce oh my mee… being from the south I can say this place did not disappoint. The seafood was fresh it was hit and the whole meal was excellent. 10/10 recommending.

The best part though, was the service. We were greeted at the door with a hello and huge smile, and very hospitable woman got us our drinks and brought us our food, I didn’t get her name, but the star of the show was Greg. He was so hospitable, he was friendly and he treated everyone so great. It felt so welcoming and I just wanted to highlight that because that’s hard to find these days!
