I'm from Buffalo, NY, where hot wings were invented, and and have been to the wing festival this reastaurant displays some prizes from, so my expectations weren't too high, overall it was OK, but even still I was a bit dissapointing. Some things we ordered were good (buffalo mmedium wings, lemon-pepper tenders), others were bad (garlic parm wings), but we had some weird service/quality issues.
First, they have a weird service model - get seated by hostest, look at menu, go up to register to order (including alcoholic drinks), tip then (before recieving most of the service or any food), then sit down with a number card. Was a little awk.
We ordered 12 wings, half buffalo-medium, half garlic parmesan, and 3 boneless-tenders with the 'sauce of the month' lemon pepper. When the wings came, we only got 10(!), and they were all together in one basket, the buffalo-medium ones mostly on the bottom, but by then everything was covered in the unexpectadly creamy garlic-parm sauce... The few buffalo-medium ones we could extract - the sauce was pretty good, the wings were a tad small and on the soggier side (vs being crispy), but not bad. The garlic parmesean tasted kinda like milky-max-and-cheese sauce, wasn't what I was expecting, wouldn't order that again.
The 'lemon pepper' sauce lemon-pepper sauce was actually quite good, but then tenders themselves were only ok - the breading was very thick, kinda over-powered the chicken, tasted kinda like the breading you get on frozen tyson chicken tenders. We got 4 of these (ordered 3), so that kinda makes up for the 2 missing wings? But not really.
Attached is a picture of the 10 wing bones (the two bones in one of the flats became dissconnected, fyi) to show that we were missing two.
We were able to isolate some of the buffalo-mild sauce, and actually used napkins to whipe off thegarlic-parm sauce, then dip them in the buffalo-medium sauce to make good enough so that we would eat them. It mostly worked.
overall, for the price (almost 60$ - we also got onion rings, a soda, and a beer) for two people, and the quality, we probably won't come back.
To reply to the owner: I'm not in the chicken wing business, I just like to eat them. Basically, whatever your business reasons may be, from my viewpoint the wings were less tasty and more expensive than both nearby and far-off competitors. In the year since I tried this place (about a year now), I've had a few of my friends tell me about having similar negative experiences from Fire on the...
Read moreRecommend this place to my girlfriend as a place we could eat for my birthday today, as I have been to the other location multiple times. Went in ordered food 2 sandwiches and Cheese wheels as an appetizer. Grabbed a table on the patio and sent our number for the runners to see.
Cheese wheels came out fairly quickly with the amount of people currently in the restaurant. We both let them cool of for a bit and took our first bite as they looked delicious. Upon the first bite we both noticed the insanely high amount of water/oil inside of them. Which wouldn’t normally be a big deal until I tore the corner of one and literally poured liquid out of one. Whatever not a big deal we over looked it and moved on.
This entire time we waited for the sandwich’s that I had been hyping up all day. We waited and waited and waited, one of the runners came by after about 20 minutes and asked us if we were sit waiting on food. We both replied with yes, she apologized and said that it should be right out. We waited some more as we noticed another table that ordered around the same time wondering if they were going to eat as well. The runner came back and said hey they are backed up but yours should be out in no time. 10 more mints went by, she dropped of a side of ranch that I asked for with the meal so we were assuming that the food would be right behind. Nope we sat there and waited some more, we started to discuss requesting a refund and leaving but another lady came by and refunded us without asking which we appreciated and got up to leave. She asked if we were headed out and we said yes and left.
I’m really disappointed as I have had excellent experiences at the other location which I will still go to but I highly recommend against this one, seems like there is no communication with the kitchen and food runners. We would have stayed if they said your food will be out in X time but they never did. Nevertheless I would take the extra 15 minutes to drive past this location and go to the one in the highlands.
PS: Seating works well in a quick casual environment as long as the host/hostess doesn’t seat the same table 3 times in a row. Which we both noticed as 3 separate couples sat next to us within 10 minutes.

Read moreA lot of my decisions about where to eat are based off of reviews from Google users much like myself.
I was hoping to find a good vegan chick'n burger and a popular search results was Fire on the Mountain. I wasn't exactly close to tge restaurant so I had reservations about driving across Denver for a bite to eat.
Much to my delight as I continued scrolling through the reviews, it was mentioned that the seitan they make was delicious.
I needed no further convincing and quickly made my way toward Alameda to try this place out.
Parking was probably a 3/5. There is space on the street and in the surrounding neighborhood but the lot that directly services the restaurant is small. It helps to have a plan of exactly how you may want to approach finding a spot because the intersection there is busy and backs up quickly.
My partner and I walked in, helped ourselves to menus and sat down in the entryway as we decided what to eat before approaching the counter.
The easiest way to summarize the offerings at this establishment is typical barfood with a modern twist. And for people like myself, plenty of vegan/vegetarian options.
We ordered fries, tots, seitan wings, a chick'n sandwich, and cauliflower wings and I didn't shudder at the price of everything. Moderate pricing in my opinion.
Every item was delicious aside from the tots. They weren't bad, but definitely were nothing to be writing home about.
I was particularly enjoying the dipping sauces and the rub on the seitan wings.
The meal was excellent, the servers and cou ter staff were kind and helpful, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the location was fairly convenient despite the parking.
One thing that did seem to cause some congestion and discomfort was the bathroom situation.
There are 2 bathrooms available for anyone to use, but they only accommodate one person at a time. Myself and others were having to wait in line even if we just wanted to wash our hands.
Overall I would give Fire On The Mountain a solid 8 out of 10 stars.
Definitely a place to come back to or try for...
