I placed an online order through the Potbelly website at 9:00 a.m. for 11:30 delivery. When I hadn’t received a notification that my order was delivered at 11:30 I went to the spot where they are dropped off in my building and it wasn’t there. I called the store and she checked and said it was still on the shelf – I said ok, I ordered delivery, she asked which one (Doordash, etc), I told her that I ordered through their website. Josh, the manager, got on the phone and said he didn’t understand how that could happen and he had to get off the phone because he had 10 to 15 other orders he had to dispatch (they had no delivery people onsite today). I let him know that I had ordered at 9 and asked if he could he process mine first – he kept saying he didn’t understand how it happened and he couldn’t do anything about it while he was on the phone (yes, I get that but he was not apologetic nor helpful in trying to get my lunch to me). At 12:40 (70 minutes after it was to be delivered) I called again because I hadn’t gotten my lunch. I was told that Josh was on his way to deliver it to me. I met Josh in the building lobby and he informed me that he refreshed my soup, (I got the salad that had been sitting out for over 2 hours by this time), and that I would get a full refund and that he would comp my next salad order. He stated again that he wasn’t sure how that happened – at this point I don’t care – that’s your issue to resolve, just bring me the food I ordered. He was all about “making it right” after the fact but I probably wont order from them again, and I am responsible for catering in my office and probably wont use them again for...
Read moreFirst of let me say Chebba hut is a strong favorite for hot sandwich shops but Potbelly put up a great fight and earned solid number 2 in my book. The food is affordable compare to some shops like firehouse or Quiznos. The ingredients were also quality. I got the steakhouse beef. The blue cheese crumble was nice and chunky. Great tasting for sure. I added hot peppers pickles onions and seasoning and it taste very similar to a Chicago juicy beef hoagie. While I didn’t need the soup because the regular size sandwich was plenty of food I got it just to try. Thats the only thing that’s got them 14/15 stars with me. The soup was nothing special but acceptable in taste. It was however cold and could use some seasoning up a bit (which is likely not in control at the store level so i understand). They did just open so I get that the soup hasn’t got warmed yet but I think I was expecting fresh made soups but I don’t think I read that anywhere just assumed. And also attention to detail in every order is a must for any time I have worked food service so if the cup wasn’t hot to me it wasn’t hot to you when you handed it over so you should have said give me 5mins and let me make sure it’s hot enough. Other than that, the staff was friendly and prompt while still doing morning opening procedures and such. This place is worth trying if you like sandwiches and they even have a Pb and J which most don’t so I might be back to try that soon. Side note: they also have shakes that appear to be handmade (see pic for in store...
Read moreI've been to Potbelly literally hundreds of times over the years. I have always really enjoyed their food. It had been a few months since I last stopped in, and here was my unfortunate experience there today: 'New' menu, 10-15% price increase. Nothing new that I noticed on the menu except for some re-worded versions of existing items. Got rid of their namesake Potbelly dressing - a truly delicious dressing you could put on anything. Were completely out of the next dressing I was going to settle for, the fat-free vinaigrette. They also got rid of arguably their best salad, the Mediterranean. As I'm checking out, I'm just handed two salads with no bag, and I had to ask for the chilli that I ordered and already paid for. Had to ask the clerk to put everything in a bag. Oh, and to top in off when I got home I realized that both of the Farmhouse salads I purchased were missing tomatoes and Blue Cheese crumbles that are supposed to be on them. Bad experience, they're messing with a good thing.. The Jersey Mike's up the street from me will start to get more...
