Clutch coffee shop with delicious pastries and groovy vibes. Excellent spot to pull up a chair with friends for some Joe or post up for many hours (typically me) and do work til the place shuts down. A few quick tips and tricks from me having gone to St. Mark’s for sveta years now: - place tends to get a little noisy during the day, so plan accordingly if you need to do work - the place doesn’t offer much heat so be sure to bring a jacket if you’re there during the colder months or when the sun is down - plenty of outlets except near the front - the pastries are really good and affordable - coffee is good and they have an excellent tea selection - the garage doors are not well insulated which makes those seating areas a little colder than the other tables in the middle of the shop - staff is very friendly so be sure to tip your barista well :) Overall, I love St. Mark’s. At one point it was a low key spot but it’s since become such a busy coffee shop, which for me, sometimes helps when doing work. Just be sure to bring the right personal items to make your stay there a pleasant and productive one. Enjoy!

I was so disappointed by St Marks! I live nearby and have been really excited to try out another great coffee shop like the Weathervane, which I love. The reason I gave St Marks a three star review is because the coffee was awful, even for the $1.89 price tag for a small. The coffee was stale, burnt tasting, watery, and like it had been sitting out for hours. I would compare it to fast food coffee. The hand made specialty drinks might be good (I personally did not try them), but I definitely wouldn’t come back for drip coffee again. I was so sad because this is such a cute coffee house. Perfect for doing work or meeting a friend. Bright and cheery, friendly staff. Despite the bad coffee, I do think this place has potential. Just a bit misleading with the “coffeehouse” in the name, especially given how many great craft coffee shops there are in the area. I had higher expectations for this place. Oh, and they have a lot of food and bakery options, so those might be great, too. I don’t meant to undermine the other reviews but I wouldn’t recommend stopping explicitly for a to-go coffee.

VIBE: First time here. (Trying to hit up as many coffee shop in Denver while I’m in town) this place is more low key and has an older customer base at least around 11 am when I came. It was a overcast day and I wish I had a light jacket. Was a bit chilly. There are plenty of places to sit in the shop. They have a huge outdoor patio and also a front patio. If you’re looking for a cute insta worthy spot this isn’t it. It’s much more relaxed. DRINK: got a white mocha with three shots of espresso it was delicious. Very hard to find a solid white mocha these days. EAT: I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese extra toasty/a little burnt. & they delivered. Most places don’t listen when I want my bagel burnt. STAFF: Not aggressively friendly. Very efficient and hard working.

I (a food service worker) Came in on Monday for the first time with my friend (F) who sometimes frequents there and spoke highly of it and WOOOOOOOF the barista (F) is flat out unpleasant. She was rude to us from the start being very short and direct which I just chalked up to a busy day despite us being the only two ordering at the moment. When my panini came up I went to grab it and asked if it was mine in case somebody else was waiting pre our arrival and she ignored me so I simply said “thank you” loudly to ensure she heard me and she said nothing. I brought it up to my friend who also had noticed her attitude towards us just to make sure I wasn’t mistaken by her demeanor. Afterwards, I wanted to get a latte to-go and she was smiling and laughing with the gentlemen ahead of us so I thought things had shifted but as we walked up her face went deadpan again to which she once again ignored my thank you. As somebody in the industry and who has been a barista, I am very non confrontational and maintained a pleasant demeanor. I also still tipped 20 percent but couldn’t stop thinking about how rude she was to us for no reason whatsoever and made us feel like an inconvenience for even going there. I will not be returning and I hope I never have an encounter...

If you want a Starbucks, go to the mall. This is a human place made by humans 20+ years ago and staffed by humans. The coffee contains caffeine which works to awaken you dead soul.

The reason people come here is to join the human herd. To exist in a public space in the company of other people wearing noise cancelling headphones and burning company time or the parents tuition dollars looking at Instagram as Buddha, Vishnu and FSM intended when they lit the fuse and got away from the Big Bang.

This is where people go to see each other and sometimes, when inspired, talk to each other. Like they do in Europe or the prison chow hall. This is a place to celebrate humanity in all its unwashed and undeoderized glory.

You will find medical students, lawyers, cherry creek mommies, high school students, self employed masters of Linked In, people writing unreadable and unpublishable manuscripts. Wanna be artists and other benign parasites of end stage capitalism.

It’s awesome. The more you go, the more you understand the uniquely anarchist structure and function of the place. Nobody is getting rich here. Nobody is succeeding. Those terms of external validation have no place in this sometimes sticky but always refreshing...

Being myself at the food industry for over 10 years just shocked how low the customer service went this days . This place has a good reviews which is I am surprised how. I ordered latte , panini and croissant “to go “. Barista made coffee and croissant “dine in “which is not big deal but I specificly ordered to go becouse looking at the cleaness level of the dishes and the rags they wiped it you dont want to do “dine in “. Looks disquasting . The barista was counting change and use a card , touching her hair and then food . Ew . I asked them to wear a gloves -she did , thanks. But should I ask or its a kind of rule in the food places . Anyway done with unpleasent experience, eating my panini and then boom : it’s a hair INSIDE the croissant , backed with it . All she said it’s: sorry and gave me a cookie insted becouse they dont have anymore croissants . Absolute nonsense , like its a regular thing . Probably if they touching dirty hair and then food it is not a big suprpise for them . Just moved to this neighborhood but definately going to avoid that place . Tables looks like they have't been wiped sicnce 80s...
