I recently had the pleasure of visiting a local establishment where I was fortunate enough to meet and interact with an extraordinary bartender named Alex. From the moment I approached the bar, it was evident that Alex possessed an unparalleled passion for mixology and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Alex's knowledge and expertise in crafting cocktails were truly impressive. They effortlessly blended unique flavors and ingredients to create drinks that tantalized both the palate and the senses. Each cocktail was a masterpiece, beautifully presented with meticulous attention to detail. The creativity and skill demonstrated by Alex were truly remarkable and left me in awe.
What truly set Alex apart, however, was their warm and engaging personality. Not only did they possess an extensive knowledge of spirits and mixology, but they also made a genuine effort to connect with each customer on a personal level. Alex's friendly demeanor and ability to make everyone feel welcome instantly created a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere at the bar.
Throughout the evening, Alex went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was unforgettable. They patiently listened to my preferences and expertly tailored recommendations to suit my taste. Their ability to suggest drinks based on my preferences, as well as introduce me to new flavors and combinations, showcased their true artistry.
Moreover, Alex's impeccable attention to detail and efficiency were evident in every aspect of their service. They effortlessly managed the bustling bar, providing prompt service to everyone while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor. Despite the high demand, Alex always made sure that every drink was flawlessly prepared and served with a smile.
I cannot emphasize enough how exceptional my experience was with bartender Alex. Their genuine passion for their craft, combined with their friendly and attentive nature, created an ambiance that made me feel like a valued guest. Alex truly elevated the entire bar experience, and I left feeling both satisfied and grateful for their outstanding service.
If you have the opportunity to visit this establishment and encounter bartender Alex, consider yourself fortunate. They are a true gem in the world of mixology, and I can guarantee that your evening will be enriched by their skill, charm, and dedication to providing an unforgettable experience.
Kudos to bartender Alex, and my heartfelt thanks for a...
Read moreWhat really sucks about giving this place three stars is that the food here is amazing. A bit over priced, but can be overlooked if everything else was on point. This was my second time here, I was super excited to return. I walked in at 8:00pm on a Friday night and asked for a table for two. I was told they're on about a twenty minute wait. I looked around and noticed a bunch of tables open both in the main dining area and in their back room area. I asked the hostess if the reason the tables aren't being filled was because of a lack of staff or because of a reservation and she abruptly and quite unprofessionally responded, "what tables?!" I, caught off guard, pointed to some tables in the back and she said they closed that area for the night (even though there were still people eating in that area).I can understand closing a section for a night but being on a 20min wait may not be the best time for that. I thought about asking about the tables near the door (see uploaded photo) but was worried about being snapped at again. Service here seems to take a little longer and seems to be a bit disorganised. Last time we were here it took forever to get our check because our waitress was spending her time chatting with her co-workers. I also ordered a bacon burger and didn't get bacon on my burger. A minor issue if I would have seen the waitress again to reorder it but it was awhile. This most recent time I came in I waited 7 minutes from being seated before I received anyone coming by to say hello or grab a drink order. Needless to say, the service just got worse this most recent time and due to my bad experience with the hostess before I even got a seat, I found myself noticing everything else that I didn't like here. If this place tightened up their customer service, they'd be amazing. Until then, I'll be going to one of the many great burger places in the...
Read moreThis is a message that I sent to Tap and Burger on their website hoping for a response but I received no reply so I am now putting my review on Google:
Hello, I was at the DTC location on Sunday ( 8/18 ) for dinner. We arrived at 5:00 and the restaurant was quite empty. Our server Katherine was pleasant. I ordered the $13 Shroom Luvas Burger and asked if I could have the Black Bean Burger instead ( also $13 ) as I am a vegetarian. The server said "no problem." When the bill arrived I was charged an extra $2.00 for the Black Bean Burger. I asked the server about this and she apologized but really had no explanation. I kept inquiring as this made no sense and she mumbled something about inventory. She never offered to remove it.
Since we were already running late for a concert as it took an unreasonably long time to get our burgers with ice cold french fries, I let it go. I was with a group of people and was not going to make a scene, or make us any later than we already were, for a $2.00 charge. I just want to say that this was our most average visit to this location. My son lives across the street so we are frequent visitors and we ordered full meals and drinks so it was not a small bill. It would have been good for customer service to remove the charge.
I came home and looked at your menu and I do now see the charge for substitutions but your menu is quite cluttered and confusing and I am not sure I would have noticed that anyway. Your servers should be trained to advise of any additional charges that someone might incur when they ask for a substitution. My first instinct was to write a Google review but felt that it was only fair to bring this to your attention first. We have been very happy with our previous experiences at Tap & Burger so this was...
