A Vibey Dancing Night Out

I recently visited The Marigold with my partner which was an intriguing experience that is sure to impress. We enjoyed our drinks and the bar tenders were in an awesome flow, but our enjoyment of the venue was somewhat limited by a few small issues. Firstly, there was a shortage of seating options on the ground floor, which made it difficult for us to find a comfortable spot to relax in after exploring the plant life. Additionally, the upstairs lookout/balcony area could benefit from some improvements such as better lighting, additional seating, and some artwork on the brick as on the ground floor. It would also be great to see a pop-up bar on busy nights to cater to the increased demand. Finally, while we appreciated the beautiful plants on display, we felt that the prices were steep. Adding ceramic planters to the selection could make them more appealing to people who enjoy taking home a souvenir or two after a night out. Overall, we had a positive experience at The Marigold, and with a few small tweaks, it could become an even more enjoyable and memorable destination.

🌿🍸 Such a cool hidden gem in Five Points! The Marigold Bar is part cocktail bar, part plant shop — and somehow it works perfectly. The drinks are strong and well-crafted, and the whole space has a cozy, eclectic vibe thanks to all the greenery. They’ve got a great rotation of events too: karaoke, DJs, happy hours, and more. It’s the kind of place you could stop by for one drink… and end up staying all night. Bonus: you can literally leave with a plant. I mean, what more could you want? Definitely adding this to my regular rotation — and bringing friends next time.

I went with a friend at 7pm on a Wednesday, which you would think would not be busy but it was packed and difficult to get a drink at the bar despite our efforts. We didn’t think the drinks were good, and they were incredibly tiny for the amount the bar charges. It was so hot inside the building that we ended up alternating between freezing on the patio upstairs and boiling in the little hallway at the top of the stairs. Lastly, there’s a photo booth at the front that advertises ¢50 outside but inside it’s actually $5. It doesn’t even matter that much it was just the cherry on top of a lackluster experience at the new plant bar (where the plants also looked a...

We had seen the development of this place through Reddit over the last couple months and were excited to try it out during our vacation to Denver. To our surprise, our Airbnb was 2 blocks away. This place is incredible. Great value on the drinks, heavy pours with loads of unique flavor for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is where it really shines though; the place doubling as a plant store is a brilliant business model, it took way too much self control to keep myself from getting plants I'd have to guard on the train ride home. The staff are super friendly, quick, and welcoming. I'm excited to see more development of this place and I can't wait...
