I'm certainly an avid park attendee as I live for my pooch. Also, he has a bad grass addiction and this park easily satisfies his insatiable cravings. This delightful urban park is neatly nestled amongst the north Capitol Hill neighborhood. The landscaping is all very well maintained, there is plenty of space for large group activities, classes, and of course a simple but beautiful park day with your dog. One thing to note, this is not a great family park. It had its fair share of the less fortunate transient folk hanging around, drinking, playing music, etc. They aren't all necessarily causing a ruckus but simply something to note if going with family. Otherwise, it is a great dog, exercise, meditation, etc. type of park. I'm grateful to have this place in the area. I most definitely look forward to visiting it often with my pug.🐾

The kids loved it. I thought it was just ok because a lot of people allowed their dogs to run off leash, there was a homeless community lining the north side of the park and this is no one's fault but there were the biggest gnats I've ever seen and as soon as we spread out the blanket they covered it. Off didn't help.

A perfect little spot for family, schools and family events, and awesome lunch spot time for all.

It's a beautiful little park that was once in an open space of sorts, but is now surrounded by mid-rise apartments, some of the most gorgeous historical homes in the area, and several restaurants, bars, etc.

The one element that makes this park little more than a space to pass through for me? The vast number of folks loitering throughout the day, utilizing the space as a go-between from Five Points to Capitol Hill to Downtown. As such, one will most likely encounter vagrant transient folks and the like-- some of whom can be rather aggressive; that's not quite what I am looking for in a park space.

Regardless, from this spot, one can see a unique view of the timeline of immense growth, change, and transformation the city has undergone in the past...

Crawling with homeless crazies, junkies and thugs. I just moved to the area and live across from this park. It's only been one week and so far I have witnessed three fights in broad daylight. One involved 6 men brutally beating up on one man, ending in police and paramedics coming to the scene. I have also seen a lot of street harassment and shady activity going on and have to listen to their obnoxious yelling all day. Sometimes these crazy individuals wander up to the street that I live on and harass people there. I'm so disappointed that I have to live next to this. The rest of the neighborhood seems really nice, but this park does not make me feel safe here. I would never go anywhere near this park because of what...
