My partner and I stayed at the Queen Anne in May. While we were initially hesitant with the higher price than other lodging options in the area, we felt it was more than worth it.
To start, the architecture of the building (one of the oldest houses in Denver) has a beautiful quaintness to it that led us to explore the different rooms and art among the walls. There was a shared living room space to relax after a long day trip, plan out an excursion, or meet other travelers staying at the inn. Nearby the living room was a small room which the innkeeper used as an office space, however there were always pitchers of water for guests to take and borrow (much needed in the higher altitude of Colorado), as well as fresh baked goods from the innkeeper on a daily basis. Outdoors there was a beautiful garden and seating area to eat breakfast outside, and upstairs housed the bedrooms and guests. My partner and I stayed in the Roof top room with hot tub access, and we were impressed by the clean and updated interiors. Laying in the hot tub on a cool morning before an excursion was incredibly refreshing.
Perhaps the best part was meeting Milan, the owner, as well as the other inn keepers. They were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Any requests were fulfilled in a timely manner, and Milan was always a pleasure to talk to in the mornings, as he gave us many trip suggestions for things in the area.
Last but certainly not least was the amazing cooking by Milan, who also has training as a chef, as he cooked us an incredibly tasty breakfast every day. He uses locally sourced foods and ingredients, and quite honestly we enjoyed his cooking even more than our dinners out at restaurants.
Everything about the stay was a joy and we would highly recommend...
Read moreI just had my bachelorette party here (rented the entire B&B) and I am obsessed with this place, it was so wonderful and exceed all expectations. All of the rooms had so much charm - the artists lofts especially are enormous! everyone absolutely loved their rooms (comfy beds, very good AC which was great in the heat, super clean). ||At the risk of sounding ageist, I was a little nervous about booking out the B&B for my bachelorette because I was picturing a quiet elderly couple staffing the B&B that might not love interacting with a group of 12 mid-30s women. But that was not the case at all - all the staff are very cool/friendly/artsy and will match your vibe (i.e., will chat if you want to chat or leave you alone if you want quiet)||Nicole really took care of us and was very attentive and helpful and easy to talk to. The breakfast was delicious - especially the fresh pesto that Stevie (chef) made from scratch each morning. One of my friends had to leave for a flight at 5am and Stevie & Nicole (w/out us having to ask) left her a little to-go bag of muffins and oranges (since she was leaving before breakfast) + a nice note. The owner even came by and said hi to us, gave us Denver recommendations, and explained the history of the b&b which involved bringing in a bunch of local artists to design all the rooms. It's a very cool place.||The B&B is right across the street from a nice big park, and a short walk or very short drive to RiNo neighborhood where we spent a lot of time. The first night our group sat on the big back patio in the garden and ordered pizza and drank wine and I just felt so comfortable like I was hanging in a good friends cute backyard. I just can't say enough good things about this place but will stop...
