We requested our food to be divided it up into individual bags by each biggy bag. We received one bag full of sandwiches one full of fries and one bag full of nuggets. We let the cashier know at the window this is not how we requested our food. She said do you want me to remake the order or give you another bag. I said please remake the order. She comes back to the window with 2 more empty bags.
We sit in the parking lot and divide the food up to find all of our food not there. We go back inside to ask for the additional burgers and nuggets that were missing. The manager comes over and tries to reach her hand into the bag. Tell her I will show you but I do not want your hands all over my food I am bout to eat.
She says I will remake it. She takes the food and says it’s policy to have burgers fries and nuggets all in separate bags. I told her requested to have the food split by meals because they are for separate people. She says it’s new policy my friend says I think it’s because she just didn’t understand well enough. The manager says I don’t appreciate what you said. My friend said you know what I just want refund. She take the money from the register at the drive thru comes back and slams it on the counter and told us to get out.
I asked for her boss information or the franchisee information. She tells me I am not going to give it to you. I told her company policy is if someone request your supervisor you are supposed to provide that. The manager says so and walks away.

Read moreI go to highschool across the street from this Wendy's. They are new to Peoria. We use to only have Mcdonalds as an option and they were not very student friendly especially for kids like me I am 6ft tall 160 pounds and am a melanated human. That is a recipe for exclusion during lunch time because for some reason the moment I hit puberty most of the adults that see me think I am trouble when I am just a tall 15yr old trying to eat lunch. This became normal for me until this specific Wendy's opened. I went in to get lunch and there was a lady at the front named Amberly. She was the first adult to smile at me when I walked in somewhere since I became a teenager. That smile made me feel like I was back home in Mississippi. Now me and my classmates go eat lunch there every Wednesday and Thursday just to get some positivity in our day from Ms. Amberly.(She only works those days) That one simple human gesture formed a safe space for me and my friends to make jokes, eat food, and be kids without every moment feeling uncomfortable as if we were making trouble, now we make memories during lunch instead of feeling like no one wanted us to be in their restaurant. I will remember her kindness for my whole life. Thank You...
