Had read about this place on reviews with everyone saying the pizza was amazing - so we had to give it a try! The Tide Pool is a true honest dive bar - but in the best way. It's located right on 101 right before the Whale Watching Pier, and has it's own parking area which is a huge plus. We had called in our order before and it took about 30 minutes to make 4 pizzas which was a lot faster than your national chains.
We got a 14" Cheese, 14" Hawaiian, 14" Meat Lovers and 7" Taco. Aesthetics wise, the pizzas smelled and looked amazing - and they were HEAVY with toppings! These were extremely well made pizzas and well worth their prices. Taste wise, all of the pizzas were well crafted and tasted very elevated of what you'd expect. Extremely pleased with all of pizzas but in order of tastiness would be: Taco - Hawaiian - Meat Lovers - Cheese but make no mistake that the Cheese was exceptional too.
All in all, HIGHLY recommend this place to those touristing in the area of Depoe Bay, or for those locals that haven't potentially tried...
Read moreWe came inside and sat down at the bar, intending to grab one quick drink before heading to dinner. The bartender reassured us she would be right with us (she seemed to be working solo, bar and dining room, so she’s probably not at fault for this) at least three times in the 15 minutes we sat there. When she finally managed to - get off the phone, get another customer who had been patiently waiting longer than us a bag.. she asked if we would like a menu. We said we were in just for a drink, and she said “we’re not serving alcohol, it’s an OLCC issue” The outside of the building is covered in beer promotions. There’s no sign saying “OLCC pulled our liquor license” anywhere. And most frustrating of all, why did the bartender not make sure the two people waiting for bar service there was no alcohol being served?!
Also, there were a few people sitting at the bar. We were curious what they were doing - drinking soda at a...
Read moreWe came to the area for our honeymoon and after a full day traveling, we were looking for something close to our rental property. At random, we stopped at rip tide for the grille as advertised. We walked in and were met by friendly and prompt service with a small town, hole in the wall feel. It’s apparent the bar/pub atmosphere is the primary selling point for the business. However I think it’s important to point out, my wife and I are both are in active recovery from alcohol so our purpose for stopping was solely food. We were blown away at the quality of food and portions! The burgers were huge and the fries thick and crispy. We noted on the menu the pizza seems to be the go to. Had we had more time, we would have tried that out. BUT, we are making a point to stop back just so we can try it before leaving. Support this small business. You won’t be...
