I am absolutely Disgusted with the experience I had today at this place. Me and my daughter went in looking for a sweatshirt that said PNW as we were looking around I found a little card that I thought I would get my husband, but then when we did not find the sweatshirt that we were looking for, I put the card down on the stand in front of where I got it from, due to there being a crowd of people standing in front of the table that it was supposed to go on. Me and my daughter walked out of the store. We went to the store next door and found it was not open. As we were standing there the woman from the previous store came out of the store and asked me where the card was that I had picked up. I was shocked and told her I had set it down since I decided not to get it. She then had the audacity two asked me to go back in her store and pointed out for her the store was filled with people mind you that she left in there alone who knows who could have pocketed items. I couldn’t remember exactly where I had said it and then she found it sitting on the table in front of where I had picked it up from I was absolutely a palled she did not apologize I asked her if she wanted to check my pockets before I left this time and she said no it should be fine now I have never been treated so poorly I will never shop at this store that I have shopped at many times in the past. THIS WOMAN needs to take some lessons on customer service and how to treat others. I hope people will think twice before entering the store and getting...
Read moreThis expertly curated gift shop is a must-visit every time we are on the coast. There is something for everyone and all items are either made locally in the PNW or proceeds go toward supporting a social/environmental cause. 🌊 💚
Bridgette, the shop owner, does a beautiful job merchandising the space and sharing stories about the artisans and items she carries. I highly recommend checking out the clothing racks and stacks for fun, unique designs (the COZIEST hoodies!) and a lot of local love for Depoe Bay, Hwy 101, Oregon, and the PNW.
You can also shop online at oceanography101.com and have your order shipped to you. I find it helpful to make a shopping list based on the online inventory and bring that with me when I shop in person so I don’t forget anything!
After supporting this amazing woman-owned business, step into the adjacent Crushed and Crafted to watch the sunset over the ocean and enjoy a local...
Read moreThe worst customer service I’ve ever had in my entire life. The woman who owns the shop accused a seven-year-old of stealing a trucker hat and claimed she watched the camera and saw it. However, it was sitting on one of the tables. When attempting to fold a sweatshirt and place back into the pile of sweatshirts she yelled at one of our friends stating I know where my clothes go. I will never recommend this woman’s establishment to anyone.
To the owner comment: You did not simply ask about the hat. You ran out of your store as we were passing and accused us of stealing. Perhaps you need better security cameras as you claimed you saw her steal it. I appreciate your reply and hope that your customer service is improved as we have friends come and visit your shop...
